Your autobiography
editPlease note that creating an autobiography on Wikipedia is strongly discouraged. All articles must meet the criteria on verifiability, notability, and neutral point-of-view, and when writing an article on yourself it is very difficult to maintain neutral point-of-view. Additionally, you have created your autobiography by editing files that are only supposed to be edited by advanced users. I have reported this to Wikipedia administrators at the administrators' noticeboard for incidents to get it corrected. —KuyaBriBriTalk 17:16, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
Your userpage
editIt's generally a bad idea to write your userpage in the third person, since by definition this is you writing about you. It may also be seen as an effort to sneak an autobiography into Wikipedia. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:17, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
Hi
editJust to be clear, Elizabeth, in case the previous messages give you the wrong impression. You've done nothing wrong. An admin has now moved your user page from User:Elizabethelvington/common.css (where no one would see it) to User:Elizabethelvington (which is the normal place for a user page). Another user has put a clarifying note on it, which is optional, and which you can keep or remove, your choice. I don't know where this "sneaking an autobiography" meme got started, but no one seriously thinks you're trying to do anything wrong.
Hope you like the place, and decide to stick around and help out. Let pretty much anyone know if you need help with anything. --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:02, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
