editHello, I'm Weatherman27. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:2020 Pacific hurricane season that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Even if you disagree with an editor or with what they may be doing, it is not right to attack another editor, as you did by calling CycloneYoris a "moron" đWeatherman27đ (Chat|Edits|sandbox) 17:10, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Edit warring at 2020 Pacific hurricane season
edit{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Per a complaint at the noticeboard. You also seem to be reverting the same article while logged out. See WP:SOCK for why you should avoid that, and why it is risking more severe sanctions. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 19:21, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

editYour recent editing history at Tropical cyclones in 2023 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editingâespecially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's workâwhether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each timeâcounts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warringâeven if you do not violate the three-revert ruleâshould your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
The RfC consensus is pretty clear: no more old colored maps, only new maps. Furthermore, inserting old colored maps is against WP:ACCESSIBLE. Therefore you are edit warring against consensus and are liable to be blocked the next time you revert. Because my edit is enforcing consensus it cannot by definition be disruptive, and therefore cannot be WP:POINTY which is titled "Do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point" (emphasis mine).--Jasper Deng (talk) 20:30, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
