Replaceable fair use File:Hohner Pianet L.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Hohner Pianet L.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. ☼ 08:29, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Hello MrOllie This is not spam. The reference I've added to this page is the latest textbook on the subject area. See this review from the international sound magazine Sound On Sound, London. https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/book-review-classic-keys-keyboard-sounds-launched-rock-music The subject area is covered comprehensively in this new book. - Spamming is a behaviour, and by listing your book on every related article you can think of you are spamming Wikipedia. You should stop, or you can expect that someone will block you sooner or later. - MrOllie (talk) 01:39, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
Hello MrOllie The book Classic Keys was written for the hobbyists interested in the areas I've just posted to. I am one of those hobbyists. All of the instrument pages I've posted to are covered comprehensively in the book. I wrote some of the Wiki articles I've just posted to including the Pianet and Cembalet entries. It's my instruments pictured on several of these pages. This book was researched over 7 years to provide detailed information for the subjects posted to. In that time I stopped updating Wiki pages until the research was complete. It has been welcomed by the community in question - note the reviews on the Amazon page. https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Keys-Keyboard-Sounds-Launched/dp/1574417762 Including accolades from leading players such as Rick Wakeman, Donald Fagen and others. I am not getting wealthy from this exercise - the cost of producing the book was over $200,000 and I stand to recoup around $4000 if I'm lucky. The information in the book is more accurate than most of the pages I've posted it to.
Not sure whether you're a bot or a person. I was under the impression that Wiki seeks to be the authoritative source on subjects. The material in these subject areas has been brought up to date in a comprehensive way in this new book. I am trying to add this information in an efficient way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Docrobbie (talk • contribs)

Vintage keyboard pics
editHi, I've started to go through and expand more vintage keyboard articles using Classic Keys, including the Wurlitzer electric piano, Hohner Pianet, Vox Continental, Gibson G-101 and Farfisa. It's one of the best books on the subject I've ever read, and thoroughly deserves the praise it has got in the press, and the ringing endorsement from combo-organ.com and elsewhere.
Now, that out of the way, I was looking for some more pictures. Specifically, there is no free image of the Gibson G-101 except for a black and white live shot of The Doors c. 1968, which isn't any good to show the instrument. I know there's a whole bunch of photo credits at the back of the book, but what we need here are images with the Creative Commons free licence, that can be shared and redistributed commercially. If you've got photos yourself, it might be an idea to take a lower resolution / cropped copy of one of the images, and licence that. Allan Warren is celebrated on Wikipedia for licensing his numerous photographs of the British aristocracy and stars from the 60s and 70s, meaning that a lot of biographies like Noel Coward, Roger Moore and Peter Sellers have an excellent photo leading the article. If you need any more information and advice, let me know. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:32, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
Hi Ritchie333 Good to hear from you. I trust you've been keeping well? Thank you for your kind support of Classic Keys. The vintage keyboard community has been most supportive of our efforts, it's been most heartening. Thank you for the time you're spending improving the vintage keyboard articles. I confess to being put off by the barriers to doing any further editing myself. I will take a look at the photo issue. You're probably aware that I loaded a few many years ago - the Pianet N image is one example. I'll give it some thought and be back in touch. Docrobbie (talk) 07:04, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
Rhodes pictures
editHi, thanks again for the great pictures now up on Rocky Mount Instruments, I had an off-wiki request from Fuzheado about updating the images on Rhodes Piano. If you've got a better image than File:Rhodes Mk II 73 cropped.jpg, it would be great for a lead infobox image. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:03, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
@Ritchie333:, I've put a MkI Rhodes into the page for Fuzheado to use. Docrobbie (talk) 01:28, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!
