Welcome to Wikipedia, Dictator Penguin!
editI'm Chris troutman and I want to welcome you to Wikipedia!
Wikipedia is an amazing community adventure which is constantly being edited. There are many different versions of Wikipedia for many different languages, and the English version has 6,925,410 articles which are written by volunteers like you and me! We even have a newspaper, The Signpost, to keep you up to date with news and new developments. Making your first steps on Wikipedia can be hard sometimes, so if you need any help, don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page or ask a question on your talk page . Someone will help you soon!
Wikipedia has five pillars which summarise Wikipedia's fundamental principles:
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia
- Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view
- Wikipedia is free content that anyone can use, edit, and distribute
- Editors should treat each other with respect and civility
- Wikipedia has no firm rules

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Transnistria War into History of Transnistria. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 04:25, 27 April 2022 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in USS Hancock (CV-19), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Hi there! Please review WP:SHIPPRONOUNS PureRED | talk to me | 05:56, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 21
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Emergency medical services in South Africa, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page EMT. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
