Can you check the Nashville School of Law page? There's been a lot of vandalism lately and I'm too inexperienced with wikipedia to know how to monitor it efficiently. Thanks!
Vandalism
editFYI; I did not vandalize anything and I resent you accusing me of it. Thanks for taking care of the vandalism on my user page. Though I admit that the vandal adding a "bisexual" userbox is far more orignal and humorous than the usual incoherent insults in all caps. :) Trusilver 19:49, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

- P.S. Keep a lookout. I don't know if you've seen the trend yet today. But there have been multiple IPs that seem to be making a collective effort to make white supremecist edits. Trusilver 20:09, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

No, I didn't vandalize anything. Please don't accuse me of doing such.

Boyd
editThe Dutch Boyd page won't move to the Russ Boyd page. Please either accomplish the move, or leave it alone. Don't just revert to the inappropriate URLs. 2005 21:57, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- You have to add {{db-move}} to the redirect, wait until the admin delete it and then you can move the old article to the new one. C&P is against the GNU FDL. Greetings, —DerHexer (Talk) 21:59, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Why can one candidate have a history/background page, but the Patrick Murphy was taken down. I stayed away from "self-promotion: and stuck with family heritage and schooling. Can you explain this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by In2itionmedia (talk • contribs) —DerHexer (Talk) 18:57, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

How so?...Her website address is on that page and apparently that is considered "self promotion".

I apologize
editI am sorry, I attempted to fix the error that i made - I was toying with tables in my own wiki, and had gotten the two windows confused while I was editing. Thank you for reverting - from now on, I will use two computers to avoid further confusion - :)

Celtic edit
editMy edit to the Celtic F.C. page was certainly not vandalism. I doubt you are even aware but the new Celtic away kit has been officialy revealed and I was editing the kit template accordingly. I bet if I had edited the article with a username you'd have thought twice about hastily plastering a warning on my talkpage. 86.13.132.8 17:58, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

Edit of Terry Taylor rolled back
editHi, Martin. To me this edit on Terry Taylor from User:65.215.83.3 seems accidental: look at his/her contributions, I don't think (s)he's a vandal. Indeed, the previous edit by User:67.77.124.142 seems quite less accidental... Of course, it's not a problem but just a pretext to say "you're doing a good work!" Cheers. editI think both those times I was trying to revert the vandalism and you probably were about a tenth of a second ahead of me, so I might have reverted your edit instead of the vandalism edit. Deletion
editYou just deleted an article I wrote about a product just explaining what it was and what it did. Since that was my first article I wrote could you help explain to me how I can get that article published without the administrators deleting it. - I've read but still don't understand. The thing I don't understand is how can one start and article about a product or company and not have it be deleted. I mean its obvious that either an employee or someone part of the product is involved in creating or editing the article. I know that I can't make a comparison about other articles, but it just seems one sidded. Thanks again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dndbrett (talk • contribs) —DerHexer (Talk) 08:38, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

blocked?
editHi,
You blocked me and I was not spamming. I was adding helpful content and links to pages dealing with endocrinology. I only posted on pages dealing with those and added some linke to hormone.org - the educational page about endocrine problems. Osteoperosis, thyroid dieseases, diabetes, etc are all endocrine diseases covered by the homrone foundation. You have partners of the Hormone foundation but no links to it. you even have links posted to sites who point people back to the foundation. why can't i add this ehlpful link and content? I was about to go back and add a lot of content about some of the lesser known diseases but found I am being deleted, what should I do? S Sarlafrock 20:48, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Kindermusik
editHi DerHexer
I have just received a note from you regarding alleged Vandalism of the page referring to "kindermusik". Here is the context for my changes:
The article kindermusik refers to Kindermusik International as the creators of the phrase "kindermusik", and is an advert for the courses offered by that United States based company, which I believe is a breach of the protocols and purpose of Wikipedia. The phrase "kindermusik" is a widely used, common term throughout Europe that relates to music education for early years, particularly in Germany (the phrase being German for "children's music"). Kindermusik International would appear to be using Wikipedia to attempt to substantiate a claim for copyright of the phrase, which has not yet been granted, and is contested by many music education providers, in Europe.
Kindermusik - German usages of the word not related to Kindermusik International: http://www.phpbb2plus.de/shop/Music/browse-255956.html http://www.haber-manfred.de/kindermusik/index.html http://www.rainerwenzel.de/start.htm http://hamburg.kinder-stadt.de/buecher/sternschnuppe.htm http://www.lostinmusic.de/lim/kindermusik.htm
This page contains hundreds of links to kindermusik: http://forum.kindergarten-workshop.de/ftopic27576.html
I made the following change, as I believe this to be correct:
Kindermusik is a generic term referring to music education for early years teaching, derived from the German for Children's music.
Can you indicate why this would be considered vandalism? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sarcasmon (talk • contribs) —DerHexer (Talk) 09:32, 25 July 2007 (UTC).
- You've removed nearly the entire article without mentioning anything in the edit summary—this is vandalism. … Please sign your postings. —DerHexer (Talk) 09:32, 25 July 2007 (UTC) By the way, I know what "Kindermusik" means—I'm German. ;)
Aha! Ok, so the change is fine but I have to say there was a change? Sarcasmon
- The change wasn't fine. You've removed—as I said—a lot of content. —DerHexer (Talk) 09:42, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
95% of the content is advertising for a company's products. The article has been posted by the CEO of the company, and is attempting to claim that the phrase "Kindermusik" refers only to the prducts of that company, which it doesn't - as you know, because you are German! I've tried again, and made an edit summary. Sarcasmon
always one step ahead!

- Ahh, yeah Oxymoron83 told me about that, (I looked into it but the download page was down, so he sent me a new link for it.) I tried it, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to get it to show me what I needed to see, I'd compare the output to the IRC channel and nothing matched, none of the huge deletions were showing up, and I finally gave up, since the user guide was no help. But he beats me to tons of stuff too, so it makes me wonder if the IRC channel is the thing that is slow. (Although that still doesn't explain why the stuff I see in the IRC channel doesn't show up in the VF Window...) While I've been here for 2 years, I really have no idea how the inner workings function, so... I fight through bot spam to try to grab the occasional obvious vandalism while you're busy editing something else :D Ariel♥Gold 15:02, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

User:Bestofluck again placed a redirect of the article Magna Vista High School to a page that may technically be correct (with adding the city/state), but the information wasn't copied over, and the page is um... well, "unpolished" lol. Let me explain my side of the story
editI can explain the whole situation. I was angry and or furious at NHRHS2010 and still am. However it was because my original user name 70.100.155.238 was removed and so was my editing history of that profile. I got a new profile called 70.100.146.236. And I have reason to believe that Klassic Kitty Chick may be responsible for deleting my original page since me and her had been arguing about several things. Im sorry for swearing and I don’t commit vandalism I have the best regards for this website. The reason I’m mad at NHRHS2010 is that I tried to explain to him that I wasn’t such a bad person and he ignored me. Please just respond I need answers. I tried explaining this to other users that warned me but they didn’t respond to my side of the story why? I really dont intentionally try to start fights.
By the way this message is not vandilism like the others users said. When I tried explaining to them my side of the story with messages they called it vandilism. So thats why I got angry at NHRHS2010 and used swear words at him.
The main question im asking however is that can you find information if anyone deleted or took away my original profile.

Blocking?
editHey... what are you trying to block me for? What'd I do? Heh... don't worry. I know it was a mistake. :D Gscshoyru 13:06, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- Have a look at your talk page. -.- —DerHexer (Talk) 13:07, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- Is there any way to erase that? (the block log entries) If not... people should see immediately it's a mistake, so it should be fine. But if there is, it'd be good. Gscshoyru 13:09, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- If it's a hassle then who cares? It's kinda funny when you think about it. You blocked yourself? That's hilarious. There should be safeguards against that or something. No worries. Just as long as their aren't any exclusive clubs that require ne'er been blocked-ness to join ;) Gscshoyru 13:18, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Pssst...
editHow did your exam go? :) Hey, take a look at this page when you have a chance, does it qualify for CSD under the advert rule? I'm pretty cautious when using CSD tags, so figured I'd ask THE Man ;) Ariel♥Gold 13:06, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

- I've blocked you for seven hours but no one has deleted your page or anything else. Maybe you're using a dynamic IP adress so that it has been changed. But static IP adresses will be changed after a long time, too. —DerHexer (Talk) 22:54, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Thats The Case
editSo it wasnt Klassic Kitty Chick it was the IP Address change which changes your name gradually over time?

Hello man
editI have noticed that my sister "User:207.248.40.2 has been vandalizing wikipedia, and i saw you sent her some warnings, so, i have a question, if she is blocked from editing wikipedia, will i be blocked too?(since we share the same computer, it has the same IP adres) Thanks, Wayavas1337 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wayavas1337 (talk • contribs) —DerHexer (Talk) 22:49, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- She has not been blocked—I've just warned her. Nevertheless, anonymous users are normally blocked only. You'll be able to edit Wikipedia 'though your IP adress is blocked. Greetings, —DerHexer (Talk) 22:49, 27 July 2007 (UTC) Btw. please sign your posts.

Complaint about your deletion of Shrode family
editI put several hours of work into assembling that article. I'm very angry that you deleted it without "giving it a chance." Couldn't you have given me advice on its talk page or recommended it for deletion instead? This sort of "administration" is inclining me to refrain from creating new articles. -John Rigali 09:33, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Please explain here why this family is important for Wikipedia. Afterwards you're allowed to move the article into namespace 0. Greetings, —DerHexer (Talk) 09:41, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: BCBot & .{35}
editIts not a malfunction or bug. .{35} is a Regular expression and it checks for the length of usersnames. I have it set to report usernames that are longer than 35 characters. (I am attempting to rewrite BCBot and add an explaination for the regexes but I have to re-write the data storage structure of the program). ∆ 14:11, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- I know that but it's not transparently. If you'll fix it, it's okay. :) Greetings, —DerHexer (Talk) 14:14, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Your username blocking
editI see by the block log that you have been blocking inapropriate usernames, I do not object to this, but however I must question your authority of how you are doing this. When you block usernames, you are meant to disable the autoblock and account creation block, so they can create another account with a proper name (unless the name blocked is attacking another user or offensive) however the names weren't offensive so the autoblock wasn't needed. Please be careful when blocking names in future. The sunder king 14:31, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- I've fixed it. Thanks, —DerHexer (Talk) 14:37, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Ok great, only use the autoblocker and account creation block if the name is an attack, or is offensive. The sunder king 14:40, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know but I've forgotten it here. ;) Greetings, —DerHexer (Talk) 14:41, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

editThanks for the quick work on the Colbert page move and vandalisim. - It does matter who warns vandals? I don't think so. … I've had an edit conflict with you on Blue Jay so that my warning has been faster than my edit. Greetings, —DerHexer (Talk) 15:35, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- It only matters because I'm doing it manually, and usually check a user's contributions before issuing a warning, to make sure it's appropriate, or if there's a reason to make it stronger than normal, etc. When someone sneaks in ahead, I don't realize it until I've wasted a little time writing something myself. No big deal, I guess; it's only happened with you once. But it happens to me all the time with people using automated tools, so I get cranky. --barneca (talk) 15:45, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

editPlease refrain from deleting interwiki links to pages in other languages. This is also a form of vandalism. That is what you did on page "form". If I happened to change something it was not meant and was not done on purpose. Just omission.
