Well don't you think how the band thought of the name should appear at the section where the band was created? The influences section doesn't really mention who their influences are. Example of a good reference

These citation templates format the references well. Say I wanted to cite this page, (as I did in Chrome Division) I would use the web page citation template which, when cut down to only the fields I want and filled out with the relevant information, looks like this- {{cite web |url= http://www.seaoftranquility.org/reviews.php?op=showcontent&id=3951|title= Chrome Division: Doomsday Rock ‘N’ Roll|accessdate=2007-08-20 |last= Pierce|first= Ken|date= [[2006-07-23]]|publisher= Sea of Tranquility}}, and formats into the article like this-

[Fact that I am citing].

That is a rather full, which is why I chose to use it, but the minimum is the title, the link, the publisher and the access date. Maybe I am a little fussy about citations, but I think they look professional, and I think good/featured articles should look as professional as possible. J Milburn 19:22, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Godsmack protection

The vandalism/addition of original research doesn't look too bad- a lot of metal articles suffer from that. (Trivium is the one that does worst on my watchlist, but take a look at Cradle of Filth's history!) If you want protection, I recommend taking it to requests for page protection, but I doubt it would end up protected. Also, the IP doesn't seem to be doing anything particularly wrong- why not talk to the IP, explain what they are doing wrong, ask them for sources? J Milburn 18:11, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

I personally have never reviewed a good article properly, but I have written a few, and peer reviewed a good few things up to that standard. It doesn't look bad to me, at all. The only thing jumping out at me that needs changing is that very small quotes are having the blockquote template applied to them, which is just silly. Imbed smaller quotes, but for any paragraph long quote, use blockquote. Good luck with the GA review. J Milburn 18:11, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Good Times, Bad Times (Godsmack song)

I've made the page a redirect to Good Times, Bad Times, as a) everything on the former is mentioned on the latter, and b) cover versions of songs never warrant their own article, even if the cover becomes more famous than the original (for example Dazed and Confused (song) - Led Zepp's is arguably the most famous version, yet it does not warrant an article of it's own. Nothing against Godsmack, just Wikipedia practice. Keep rockin' dude.

Godsmack GA

LONG is placed nexct to nominated articles which are over a certain length- doesn't seem to say on the candidates' page, I'm sure it used to. I think it is over 28kb, and Godsmack is currently at 30kb. It's just a warning to someone who intends to review the article that it may take a while. J Milburn (talk) 15:06, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Discography styling

Can you cool it a little with the outrageous restyling of the Devin Townsend and SYL discographies? When a separate page is available for full album listings, only the studio albums should be noted on the artist's page in the default wikitable format. The infobox album styling should only be used when there's extensive info needed for an album most especially in discography pages, so in Devin Townsend and SYL's case, it should be kept in wikitable format due to how he self-produces and releases his work himself with little notations about chart rankings and all of that. Don't get me wrong, I still think the infobox styling is useful for discographies like Metallica and other artists who have an extensive past, just not Townsend and SYL.

Also, I don't get personal with wiki editing like I see some people spaz out about when edit wars emerge. I merely keep things in line for the encyclopedic value and easy readability. It's not like I revert anything anyone does to a page I watch just because it overwrites what I've done. I, too, am working towards getting Townsend a great and informative looking discography, but I just disagree with your styling methods, especially when it ends up with removing important notes about the albums themselves in the process. After reading through the wiki discography guidelines, there are no set rules on how to style them, and in fact, the infobox styling you're using on the Townsend/SYL discography is only applicable when the albums lack their own article. More info here. When I get the free time, I'll be re-writing a lot of the discography page to clean it up and hopefully work in a styling we can both agree on. The only thing I use that site for is to look up discographies and stuff. I use it sometimes to creat an article on wikipedia when I need to know all the members and other info about a band. Alice - Yes, in the coming days Blackening - There were like 120 FA's and as mine had one oppose so it got removed in the massive FAC sweep Discography - Don't know, never worked on one, may want to ask the people who wrote the featured ones by the way, Appetite for Destruction is going to be quick failed for GA because there is no information on recording or production, the legacy section mentions nothing about legacy as it only mentions album sales, nothing from critics/reviews, lead isn't long enough and there are more problems.
