editDYK for Dacian Draco
editOn 7 April 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Dacian Draco, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that at the height of battle the wolf's head of the Dacian Draco (pictured), with its several metal tongues, made a shrill sound and its strips of material waved in the wind? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Dacian Draco copyedit
editHello, Boldwin. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for Dacian Draco at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! |
p.s. I also cooked up a quick image to replace the one with copyright issues.
Teurisci and Taurisci
editThere are two articles, Teurisci and Taurisci. Taurisci appears to be a name variant, making Taurisci article a duplicate. Any thoughts? Teurisci could be an easy 5x DYK. Regards. --Codrin.B (talk) 17:01, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- BTW, nice pictures on your user page --Codrin.B (talk) 17:05, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
Some scholars believe Teurisci are a group of Taurisci. Yet, they are located in different areas and there are various opinions about itBoldwin (talk) 19:06, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks for this excellent article. May I suggest you reduce most of the images to standard thumb size (i.e. remove px info in the image specs). I made a couple of adjustments myself so that the text is not upset by the images but the display is still not optimal. May well be a candidate for "Good Article". - Ipigott (talk) 08:54, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
- I reduced further from images size. Thank you so much Boldwin (talk) 15:03, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

FYI: New, great images from Cristian Chirita with the Romanian Treasury. Check my note about using the Artwork template. You can apply it to some of your great pictures as well. Regards. Codrin.B (talk) 23:26, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

editHi
editG'day fellow Carpathian enthusiast. Are you the one who provided all the extra references to Sumirilski in the Litsa culture article ? Slovenski Volk (talk) 06:44, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Well done. Do you by chance still have a copy of that article by him ? I can't find it anywhere in Australia Slovenski Volk (talk) 01:13, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Dacian bracelets
editHi
I am trying to get through it as quickly as possible now, as the DYK is due to go live at 17:00ish today. You will have to arrange the images in the second half of the article as best you can, I will probably only be able to do the text, as it has been pretty time-consuming work so far.
One thing to try and fix is the disambiguation links, many of the towns have duplicates. I have managed to fix some, but there are quite a few that need looking at, indeed you might want to check all of them. I have pop-ups enabled so I only need to hover over a linked text to see if it goes directly to the correct article, or if it goes to a disambiguation page.
Anyway, I am going to take a little 20 minute break and then get back to it again :¬)Chaosdruid (talk) 07:18, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- OK, I have finished
massacringcopy-editing the article. I hope the images are to your liking, if you get stuck then just use:
- {|
- |- valign=top
- |[[The image file name|000px|Something to say about the picture]]
- |}
- You just add another |[[The image file name|000px|Something to say about the picture]] for each one you need to add. If you want to make two rows, you add |- valign=top to split the rows.
- Good luck with the DYK and I will catch up in a few hours after some sleep :¬) Chaosdruid (talk) 09:43, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
