editHey Bib! Thanks for calling 23 my day - it was a very kind thing to do and I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, someone screwed the dates up and it got archived very quickly![1]. Thanks and a request
editThanks for signing up at Wikipedia:Peer review/volunteers and for your work doing reviews. It is now just over a year since the last peer review was archived with no repsonse after 14 (or more) days, something we all can be proud of. There is a new Peer review user box to track the backlog (peer reviews at least 4 days old with no substantial response), which can be found here. To include it on your user or talk page, please add {{Wikipedia:Peer review/PRbox}} . Thanks again, and keep up the good work, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:32, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

editHi, bibliomaniac. You kindly shared some advice on the above article, recently. I left the GA review open for an extended-period as it was close, and the nom's online time was limited. …It's now time I closed it.
While I've suggestions for post-GA improvement, I'm inclined to pass it as a Good Article. The changes I made to the article were minor; they stop short of adding sections, however I did make several edits. In the interest of integrity, please could you take another look at the article, and let me know if you think it appropriate to Pass. –Whitehorse1 17:38, 3 March 2009 (UTC).

WikiProject Piracy participation update
editHello Bibliomaniac15/Archive 12,
WikiProject Piracy is currently undergoing some updates and changes, and we are trying to find out who is still active in the project. You are currently listed as a participant on the list of participants, and we would like for you to update your status. Please move your name to the section that best describes your activity in the project:
- Active - still active and interested within the scope of the WikiProject.
- Semi-Active - still active on Wikipedia, but not as active in regards to the WikiProject.
- Former Members - a catch-all classification for those editors who are not active on Wikipedia, those that are still on Wikipedia, but no longer part of this WikiProject, or those that have otherwise not moved their names to another classification yet.
Thank you,

Edit warring on Chicago 'L' rolling stock, among others
editI have a question regarding a couple blocks you have made fairly recently. You blocked User:White Chalkboard indefinitely, and a couple other IPs for a short period of time, for abusing multiple accounts. I don't dispute this, but there seems to be a slow-moving edit war going on on Chicago 'L' rolling stock, and it's occurring over what seems to be a really silly reason (a very minor wording issue) which has involved accusations of vandalism on the part of the anon/White Chalkboard, by users such as User:Wuhwuzdat. I've protected the page in question for a week to prevent the ongoing edit war, and I'd like some input regarding the nature of this anon/White Chalkboard's edits, as they don't seem to be pure vandalism to me (as has been claimed by e.g. Wuhwuzdat). If it is indeed a case of someone disrupting Wikipedia, I'd like to unlock the page and take proper steps (such as semi-protection in place of protection) rather than the current full protection. Your input would be appreciated; I'll put your talk page on my watchlist, or you can post a message on Talk:Chicago 'L' rolling stock. Thanks a lot for your help! —BorgHunter (talk) 09:17, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

edit"I am under hiatus now, but I will resist making it historical under all circumstances. Inactive, perhaps. Historical, no. bibliomaniac15 03:29, 7 March 2009 (UTC)" I marked it inactive and you reverted it. I did a ton of work here and then gave up because it appears all the coaches are inactive. Perhaps one or two exceptions. If you would like to sort it out and see who is still actually coaching, be my guest. Otherwise, the project should at least be marked as inactive because it has zero coordinators and if there are any active coaches, I haven't seen them. Are you coaching someone? - Fair enough. If I wanted a coach, where would I go to? The requests page is heavily backlogged. I guess I could move all the coaches except for yourself to former, because it doesn't seem any of the others listed in active are active at this point. Enigmamsg 05:50, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Anonymous Dissident's RFB
editThis was deeply pathetic, and I have commented so at the RFB. Quite what purpose you felt your mindless swearing would serve I have no idea, but suffice to say my opinion of your judgement has taken quite a knock. Pedro : Chat 23:09, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Profanity isn't allowed now? Copulate with me horizontally. — neuro(talk)(review)
- I'm not saying it isn't allowed. I'm asking why Bibliomaniac15 seems to think it has purpose. A "fuck me sideways" comment would seem of little value to building consensus via discussion. Evidently Bibliomaniac thinks otherwise - an enlightening stance for a bureaucrat to take. Pedro : Chat 23:24, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Whilst RfA is indeed a discussion, a vote of support without a rationale is easily interpreted as simply an endorsement of the nominatory statement (and I interpreted it as such). Such an expletive is merely a modifier for the support, not an offensive term. If anything, it simply means "there are too many good things to say". — neuro(talk)(review) 23:26, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Can I trouble you for assistance?
editDangerzonegames (talk · contribs) has expressed interest in a name change, but his account is blocked for coi reasons, and I am unfamiliar with the particulars beyond the fact that bureaucrat privileges are involved. I checked out the requesting username changes page and saw your name, so I am leaving this message to ask if you would answer any questions the user may have on the matter. I think this user is honest in his intentions, and deserves a second chance. TomStar81 (Talk) 04:01, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

User:Dangerzonegames
editI see Dangerzonegames (talk · contribs) was unblocked to allow them to change their username. Why was this path chosen? Their only edit was to create the speedily deleted Dangerzonegames. Why was this path chosen over suggesting they create a new username? Doesn't this open the username to being recreated again sometime down the road.--RadioFan2 (talk) 11:48, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

More thanks
editHopefully a shower of gratitude is not becoming monotonous! (-;
Anyway, thanks for closing my RfA in my favour. I think you've made the right decision and hope I will prove that to be the case over the coming days and months! All the best, Martin (Smith609 – Talk) 01:11, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks very much
editAs the day here is ending, and the Wikiday is just starting, I'm a little confused on the timing, but I've jumped right in and put bacon in popular culture up for DYK. Old names of renamed users
editIs there a legitimate reason that 3 new accounts would have been created in the old names of renamed users within an hour or so this afternoon? See User:MikeM2010, User:WhiteHandofSauramon, User:Messedrocker. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 00:42, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- If the new accounts are merely redirects to the new one, then it is fairly standard practice. Especially among established accounts. That prevents people from taking an account and using it with the old user's reputation.---I'm Spartacus! NO! I'm Spartacus! 00:59, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks - Question about pages
editThanks for changing my username :) I'm wondering if I am going about publishing an article on Brother USA the wrong way. I'm curious
editHey Biblio. I had a question, and since you handled the necessities of User:Nitelinger, I thought I would ask you. It's a situation I'm not familiar with here at WP, and I wondered. Would it be inappropriate to create some sort of memorial barnstar and place on the users talk page? I wouldn't want to do something totally out of line, but I thought it might be nice gesture. — Ched ~ (yes?)/© 16:36, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Thankspam
editHi Bibliomaniac15, very very belated thanks for your support in my RFA, which passed by an embarrassingly wide margin, there's a full glitzy Oscar style version of my acceptance speech here. The advantage of averaging two or three thanks a day is that I've already clocked up loads of admin actions and can sneak in some awkward queries with my thankspam. So could I possibly trouble you for your feedback on my actions re this? ϢereSpielChequers 22:09, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Bot flag
editI realise that it's a joke and all that, but bear in mind that the last time I jokingly added a bot flag to my own account, all my rights were nearly removed by a steward since someone thought my account was compromised. A link
editIn case you wanted to see how I am as an admin. If you want, you can contact User:SB Johnny, a user who helps run Wikiversity and worked with me for a while now. You stated that you didn't think I would have the ability to work as an admin. If you look through my history and find anything problematic, please report it over at The Wikiversity Colloquium or The Wikiversity Custodian Feedback. Ottava Rima (talk) 04:05, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- I've always believed that you were technically knowledgeable. I don't doubt that you would be able as an admin in that regard. But I don't feel that I can trust you. Sorry. bibliomaniac15 04:12, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, I don't care about that. I don't trust myself half the time. You just raised a concern so I just thought I would provide links in case it was a major concern. :) Ottava Rima (talk) 04:33, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Newsbank
editHey there Maniac, I noticed that you added yourself to Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange/Shared Resources as having access to Newsbank. I have an article under development in my userspace at the moment, and I have a list of articles I have been trying to get a hold of from Newsbank so that I can provide more details, which I am certain is contained within the articles. The list of articles I am looking for are at User:Russavia/Requests. Might you be in the position to be able to please help with supplying these to me, on email I guess. Any help you could provide would be appreciated. Cheers, --Russavia Dialogue 18:32, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, I've sent you an email so you have my email address for ease if they helps any. BTW, advertising you have access to Newsbank, could be a dangerous exploit for yourself, as you have just found out. Cheers, --Russavia Dialogue 19:18, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Impersonator
editI was looking through recent changes on Meta when I saw this. It looks like someone trying to impersonate you. So far, he has only made one edit across the WMF wikis. GT5162 (我的对话页) 10:27, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- By the way, you forgot to mention the username of the person impersonating you in your report. GT5162 (我的对话页) 17:11, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- I have redirected Bibliomanic15's user and talk pages on meta to yours, but you still need to register the account if you want to make sure no one else can take it. GT5162 (我的对话页) 17:56, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Confused user names
editOn the 3rd, you fulfilled a request to rename User:Haseo445 to User:DeathBerry. Wouldn't this mean the Haseo445 should now technically no longer exist? Yet this user is now editing under both user names, including on the same topic. When editing as Haseo445, he is using a signature of DeathBerry, so I thought he was incorrectly using a fake name because of it and moved his user page before finding the name change request was fulfilled. Because of his editing the same pages with both, it appears to be socking (even if seemingly harmless because of the signature), but it is certainly confusing. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 16:01, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
- Okay...now this is getting weirder and weird. Haseo445 noted on Talk:MÄR that he thought it was too "hard to find" and was going to move it to Talk:MÄR (manga). The move, however, was then performed by User:Linder1990 2 minutes later, without a word exchanged between them and using a similarly worded edit summary. Looking at their user pages, they are very much the same...I'm starting to smell something socky here, though why I can't figure out. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 18:22, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Username usurpation....
editYou may already be aware since you patrol that page, but sometime during the day tomorrow (4/9/2009), my username will be changing to 2 per my Usurpation request here (I would have done this change months ago but I wasn't even aware this process existed until recently).
It doesn't look like this should have any effect on my Admin Coaching page, since this page is in my userspace, (according to WP:USURP) it should move along with my username change - but letting you know ahead of time just in case, also so you won't be surprised when my signature changes all of a sudden :). -Senseless!... says you, says me 21:56, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
The usurpation didn't go as planned apparently...
editWhen I attempt to sign in as 2, this message comes up:
A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was: (SQL query hidden) from within function "User::saveSettings". MySQL returned error "1062: Duplicate entry 'Mr Senseless' for key 2 (10.0.6.22)".
I'm not sure what happened, all my contributions and userspace (everything but my talkpage for some reason) transferred over from Mr Senseless with no problems. I know I was editing right as the changeover took place, and User:NawlinWiki completely blocked Mr Senseless (including account creation, email, editing talk page, etc...) out of fear it was compromised, so I don't even have Special:Emailuser access right now. Do you have any ideas? 209.51.79.27 (talk) 03:36, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
