Sui Juris

edit

My mistake:

The same term is applied also to missions that, though lacking enough clergy to be set up as apostolic prefectures, are for various reasons given autonomy, and thus are not part of any diocese, apostolic vicariate or apostolic prefecture.

Renaming of bishop articles

edit

I notice you have done a lot of moving of bishop articles on Wikipedia lately. I am not sure I agree with these moves. Did you discuss them with anyone? Generally, on Wikipedia, we follow the policy of use common names unless there is widespread agreement that for a certain topic area a different convention should be followed. Thus, we only disambiguate when we have to (such as for the Bishop of Liverpool, because there are simultaneously CofE and Catholic Bishops of Liverpool). —Matthew Brown (T:C) 08:11, 27 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

At this point, I believe we would consider this vandalism. Either that or please discuss these changes before you make them or they will be reverted if this continues. Thanks. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 12:06, 27 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
See Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Anglican_Bishophoric_moves for a discussion. Although I believe your edits were in good faith they were a bit odd and do appear to go against naming conventions. Please discuss such changes before making mass moves. — Dunc| 13:34, 27 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
Also, please check your facts; Bishop of Bangor, Wales (Catholic) is a pointless page because the Church of England emphasises its direct continuation with the previous Catholic church through the reformation. I'm not sure its a POV fork, but it's a pointless fork. — Dunc| 13:40, 27 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
Actually, Bessarion, the fact that you might be an expert is immaterial. We follow certain naming conventions. Anyone that wants to use different naming conventions needs to discuss it first somewhere on the site. Yes, our motto is "be bold!", but you also shouldn't do mass editing like changing all the names of all of the articles on Bisphorics in the UK at once without discussing it first. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 17:08, 27 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hello

edit

I undid all of the moves you made. Please go to Talk:Anglican Communion or Talk:Church of England to discuss the possible moves. Thanks. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 13:43, 28 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

This is like having the Emperor of Japan arbitrate Chinese politics.

Proposed deletion of Franco Manzi

edit

The article Franco Manzi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not Notability, because: 1) young teacher of theology; 2) very prolific, but not works with international significance or for the English language; 3) the author seems to use the page for promotional purposes 4) the POV is not neutral; 5) the Italian page was deleted for the same reason.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bollawiki (talk) 07:21, 24 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Henry Gage (soldier)

edit

Hello Bessarion, I have just gone through your article on Henry Gage (soldier). It has now been referenced, a new image added and slight expansions made here and there. When you get a chance maybe you can pop back over and take a look for yourself. If anything is amiss or just downright not right then please send me a message and let me know.

Kindest regards and many thanks! Happy wiki-ing, (MrNiceGuy1113 (talk) 05:57, 14 December 2012 (UTC))Reply
