Please do not archive my talk pages, even if there seems to be an excessive number. I will manually archive them when I feel I no longer need them. I will attempt to respond to your talk page whenever possible. If you prefer to respond to me on your own talk page, please leave me a note telling to to refer there, such as Template:Talkback. Received an e-mail today from Ashley with the sad news. So long my friend, you will be missed. Not only your contributions were an inspiration, but you were always there when needed. Semper Fi. Tony the Marine (talk) 18:36, 17 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
May you rest in peace. I am not sure why you were taken from us, but I know that any man who had the honor to serve with you in the corps or work with you here must have been a matter marine or editor for it. Until we meet again, goodby, farewell, and amen. Semper Fi. TomStar81 (Talk) 23:30, 17 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
This is a huge blow to Wikipedia. You were an excellent Wikipedian, and I never encountered an editor with a harsh word to say against you. I hope your family draws some comfort from the fact that the Wikipedia community grieves with them. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:14, 18 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Semper Fi. You have my utmost respect for your service to not only Wikipedia, but more importantly, our Marine Corps. My sincerest condolences to your family, friends, and colleagues on their loss. --Dylan620(I'm all ears)18:57, 18 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
I never had the privilege of working with Bahamut, but I knew that he was thought of very highly by others in the community, and my thoughts are with his family at this sad time. AGK [•] 19:12, 18 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
I recall seeing you around somewhere. It appears you were a very highly valued contributor. Wikipedia will be worse off without your contributions, and may you rest in peace. My condolences to the family. CycloneGU (talk) 02:12, 19 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
On behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation and the tens of thousands of active contributors here, I hope the family of Bahamut0013 knows how deeply he will be missed. Thank you for your service, to this community and to communities like it around the world. You will be so dearly missed. Philippe Beaudette, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 05:01, 19 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
For your dedication to Operation Majestic Titan, the first special project endorsed by the Military history Project, for being a man of outstanding character both on and off Wikipedia, and for the work you did to turn the main page of Majestic Titan and its associated Battleship Portal into the successes they are today, you are hereby posthumously awarded the first Titan's Cross in Silver. For all of the OMT contributors, TomStar81 (Talk) 06:00, 19 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Damn. I don't want to say anything and sound trite, but damn. I was really looking forward to us actually meeting; you seemed like one hell of a cool guy. EVula// talk // ☯ //22:49, 19 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
One further comment: he wrote a hell of a lot of stuff on this wiki, his words will be read by many thousands of people - in all likelihood, for decades to come. He added to our attempt to document "the sum of all human knowledge". Chzz ► 01:19, 20 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
I'm very sorry to hear this. Our paths never crossed on Wikipedia and, in fact, I don't think I had ever heard of bahamit0013 until today; however, I still find myself saddened by the news. Rest in peace, Matthewedwards : Chat 05:20, 20 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
I only had very limited interactions with bahamut0013, but even I knew what an excellent editor he was. He will be sorely missed. WormTT· (talk) 09:55, 20 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Heartbreaking. Like those above, I'm so sad to see Robert gone. Respects to his family, friends and comrades. I'm proud to have edited with Robert and know his contributions will live so long as Wikipedia endures. 100 years from now, people will still benefit from his efforts. His broad humor, warm company and good judgement will be missed. BusterD (talk) 19:46, 20 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
RIP, and though belated, my thanks to you for faithfully serving our country and for being a fellow wikipedian. Respects to the family, friends and those who served alongside Robert. --Rosiestep (talk) 03:49, 21 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
While we may not have collaborated often, it's still sad to see the passing of a fellow Wikipedian. My thoughts and prayers go to your friends and family in this time. Wildthing61476 (talk) 18:30, 21 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
RIP Bob, you will be missed. I'm shocked and deeply saddened this happened, yet I understand why (if that's possible). I salute you as a fellow member of the uniform... Semper Fi. — Coffee // have a cup // essay // 04:50, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
As with so many others, I did not know this editor personally, but admired a fellow project member and especially one who served his Country in the Armed Forces. Via Con Dios and HOOOOOAH! I hope this man's family sees how greatly he was esteemed by total strangers. LiPollis (talk) 01:24, 2 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
RIP fellow Wikipedian. I didn't know you but I grieve with my fellow editors. Take comfort knowing that your work on Wikipedia will always remain. Yosy (talk) 18:21, 3 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I did not have the pleasure of working with you, but I thank you for your service to your country, as well as your contributions to Wikipedia. Love to you and your family. LoveUxoxo (talk) 03:30, 6 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Semper Fi Sergeant, you're presence will be missed. I wish I had gotten to know you better. We can only hope that our continued editing and efforts here will keep your memory strong as time attempts to make it fade away. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 00:22, 26 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
My dear comrade and brother, you were a good friend to me and an outstanding Marine. It saddens me that I come back to the Wikipedia community (of all places) to find that you have departed this world; I'm a fool for not knowing the news until so late! I will truly miss you devil dog, I've always had a special place for you in my heart and it brings me to tears that a good brother of mine is gone, even though I may have been a little hard! I'll never forget your ongoing advice you have given me on occasion. Although you will never be there again to help me out on it. In remembrance of you and your dedication, my project "Definitive History of the Marine Corps" will still continue, my brother (once I'm free from my own burdens), for your generous efforts you have afforded me....
There are many battles that we Marines have fought thousands of miles away, we may win them against our foes and adversaries; but the most toughest battles that we don't win is the battles of the horrid memories we take home with us in the aftermath. I know what you, my brother, has gone through, although I never seen your pain, I do share it, I bear and hold the same pain that you have carried. There are some things that we can never forget when we come back from war. It is a huge price we pay by the sacrifice that we made. Peace be unto you, may GOD bestow His many blessings upon you, Robert P. Lemiszki Jr., Sergeant of Marines, USMC. --RekonDog (talk) 21:21, 12 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Your contributions to military history and the accompanying project on Wikipedia made you deserving of this long before your untimely death. Still, even though the WikiChevrons with Oak Leaves is the most prestigious award we offer as a project, it is far less than what you deserve. All of your friends here miss you, but the Man Upstairs is lucky to have someone like you alongside him. After some discussion at various places, I've ensured that the two barnstars awarded shortly following Bahamut's passing have been located permanently (and quite tastefully) on his user page as Wikipedia's own tribute to him. Repeating above what I and others have said, may you rest in peace Bahamut, and know that you are honoured here both in your life's service and in your service to us. We should not be afraid to mention that Robert took his own life. In the last update to his user page, in April, he disclosed that he was having a difficult time with PTSD, after two deployments to Iraq in five years. To die in battle is not necessarily to die on the battlefield. He gave his life in service of his country, there is no higher sacrifice. There is more information from his wife here: http://bbs.dimondsoft.com/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=363Lahaun (talk) 01:42, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
I knew he was still fighting PTSD, so I easily guessed the method of his passing. Too many of our soldiers hold the pain inside until something breaks.

Thought I would take this chance to wish you a happy Veterans Day one more time. Thank you for your service to the nation, I for one appreciate it very much. Rest in peace, God knows you've earned it.
Bahamut0013 was nominated as one of the military historians of the year for 2011 in recognition of his important contributions to Wikipedia's coverage of military history topics and the help he provided to many other editors. I am pleased to award him the WikiChevrons in recognition of these achievements. I would also like to extend the Military History Wikiproject's condolences to Robert's family and friends. His contributions here were greatly appreciated, and we were all saddened by the news of his passing. For the project coordinators, Nick-D (talk) 03:51, 29 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
