Edits at Abortion Law

edit

Please make a section on the talk page describing why you want to change the order of the categories on the map. Also, foetus is not a spelling error. Triacylglyceride (talk) 19:05, 13 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

On me switching the abortion legality labels, I think that it was justified because it balanced connotations between the pro life side and the pro choice side. I think this is true because people tend to sympathize more with the side they see 1st. This is why people tend to pick heads over tails when flipping a fair coin, because heads is mentioned 1st. If Tails was mentioned 1st, then more people would pick tails then if heads was mentioned 1st.

This also applied to the abortion legalities worldwide. People also tend to sympathize with lighter colors, and calming colors like blue. This gave the pro choice side another advantage, even though conservative parties worldwide tend to be blue. My source for how blue is calming is https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/habits-not-hacks/201408/color-psychology-how-colors-influence-the-mind.

Given that the pro choicers(pro abortioners?) have 2 advantages, the color advantage and the order advantage, I thought of giving the pro lifers(anti abortioners?) one of the sub advantages to make wiki less biased.

When I tried typing "foetus" into the computer, I found that it spells check to fetus.

I don't believe it was vandalism. The reason why Putin feels justified for wanting Crimea is because of the cultural similarities between the Crimeans and Russians. I was too lazy to put a source in it, and I apologize for the laziness. My source is https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2015/03/20/one-year-after-russia-annexed-crimea-locals-prefer-moscow-to-kiev/#26dcf61a510d. I plan on citing the claim.

My intention was putting why Russia wanted Crimea. I hope this is not worthy of me getting blocked. I await your response.

I disagree with you in many, many ways, but your talk page is not the page to discuss this.
If you want to have Abortion Law change, create a new section at the bottom of the talk page and discuss your reasoning for the edits that you want. If you can obtain a consensus on the subject, you can change the page. I would like to advise you that your above stated reasons will be unlikely to obtain a consensus.
I recommend you spend quite a bit of time reviewing Wikipedia etiquette (there are several pages describing how to edit and how to seek consensus) before making further edits. You should probably have picked up on the fact that your color-flipping edit was just getting repeatedly reverted -- why would you keep doing it just to have it flipped back, after we were all telling you to take it to the talk page?
I reverted your edits to my user page. You had edited my user page; you'll notice that I'm editing your talk page. Talk pages are where discussions go. Wikipedians don't edit other Wikipedians' talk pages.
English has multiple orthographies from different regions and Wikipedia, unlike your spellcheck, does not prioritize one over another.

Thank you for your contributions. One of your recent contributions to Moon has been reverted or removed, because it contains speculative or unconfirmed information about a future event. Please only add material about future events if it is verifiable, based on a reliable source. Kahastok talk 10:26, 16 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Binksternet. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Abortion law seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. I opened a topic about you at WP:ANI as linked above, pls respond there.--Ymblanter (talk) 18:38, 17 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Triacylglyceride,

I have told you why I feel that this color flipping thing should be something put into practice. I think it's a justified way to make wiki less biased. How do I obtain a consensus to change this page? Who would be the ones responsible for approving the consensus? I would like to know why my above stated reasons will be unlikely to obtain a consensus.

The reason why I repeatedly made the same edit was impart because I did not see what was wrong with it and I don't think your being convincing enough as to why my change is making the article biased. I also thought you would be okay with it if you didn't respond in a day. Turns out I lost my patience and I apologize for that. I'm kindof new here so I made mistakes that I am unaware of. In the future, I won't edit that portion until I know that a consensus has been reached.

If talk pages are where these things go, I understand that. I didn't know if you were going to check my talk page or your user page, so I posted my message on both.

If it does, then the word would be foetus. I don't care too much about spelling. I thought the word was wrong. If it's right, then it's right.

Hello Alst,
Obtaining consensus to make changes on abortion-related subjects is kind of... advanced Wikipedia stuff. Your edits to Moon... oh, I was going to list other edits that have been reverted but I now see that you have been blocked.
You may find it frustrating to have been blocked. I recommend that you approach it with humility, review the cited reasons, and take a look at good Wikipedia articles and read through their talk pages to see how they got the way they are. Triacylglyceride (talk) 06:53, 18 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello Binksternet,

I respect Wiki's desire to be neutral towards controversial topics and I feel that me switching labels has increased that neutrality and made the article less biased.

I think this was a mistake, and I got blocked from your page so I can't leave a response there. So I left one here instead. I hope this works.

Thank you for your opportunity,

Alst
