Hi.
I'm a software engineer, currently living in Maryland.
I'm a roadgeek. I spent a great deal of my childhood studying maps. I can often find my way around an unfamiliar area merely by knowing something about the highway numbering system in whatever state I happen to be in, for example. I remember road numbers better than street names. My friends often think of me first whenever asking for directions. As a result of this, I help out in WP:MASH, WP:NHSH, and other projects under the jurisdiction of WP:USRD from time to time. Wikipedia is a roadfan paradise!
I collect and study license plates (I am a member of ALPCA). I primarily collect plates from the five states where I've lived: Maryland, Virginia, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York, though I do have a 50-state and 13-province run. I typically write/edit articles about state routes here in Massachusetts. An example would be Route 119. I also poke my fingers into the Word Association Game on occasion.
I am a big fan of Great Big Sea and Carbon Leaf. I also volunteer for a local FIRST Robotics team, and play the trombone.
