Charles Matthews. The first wikipedian I met. Used to be the main pillar of mathematics here, a role which has since been taken over by Oleg. Probably the person who corrects my wrong stuff the most.
CSTAR. Spearheaded the anti Caroline Thomspon movement. Does a lot of mathematical physics stuff. It took me a while to figure out that his name refers to C* algebras. Wrote Stone-von Neumann theorem, which I am going to overhaul one of these days. May have left the project due to some unpleasantness with Carl Hewitt, which I missed entirely.
Dmharvey. Helped me figure out what Hausdorffness has to do with continuity of evaluation in the compact open topology on the reference desk.
Ilmari Karonen. Contributed to discussion about boundary at reference desk, and to article.
Jitse Niesen. Before I had an account, I made this edit, which User:Fuzheado reverted. That is probably what prompted me to first register an account (older edits under my account name were attributed later). Jitse stuck up for my edit. Early interactions at Talk:Central extension, another of my very early contributions.
KSmrq. Wrote one of the introduction candidates for the introduction of Boolean algebra, the one we're currently using, I think. Showed some interest in working on my list of categories.
Kusma. Had some input on my question about nonlocally convex spaces with duals on the reference desk.
linas. Very enthusiastic editor. I was happy to see him writing buckets of text long after I had petered out to doing mostly copyedit work. His work might contain a slightly high concentration of errors. I believe I first met him in the editing of adjoint endomorphism. Discussion of his edits at Talk:Riemann surface. Upset CH at Talk:Lorentz group/Archive. Got very angry when User:CarlHewitt allowed linas to put the words in his mouth dimensionality of spacetime is a fine detail of GR. [1]. Tells newbie not to edit wave particle duality if he doesn't know QM while himself not grasping the edit. At Talk:Polynomial ring tells Oleg that all groups are isomorphic to modular arithmetic (!!) and calls Zero out for bullshit theorems because he says it's trivial to prove that all polynomials rings (over the same ring) are isomorphic (they are, and it is trivial). Thought that quotient sets are subsets of their dividends. Taken to task by Oleg at User talk:Linas/Archive1
MarSch. Had a great long conversation at Talk:Lie algebra about how the dual of a Lie algebra is not a Lie algebra, and about why sometimes connections are Hom(F,F) valued, other times g-valued, differential forms. linas got in on the action as well. I think I first met him while collaborating with him on Differentiability class. I think he and User:Markus Schmaus were involved in a fight over the rewrite of manifold, but I wasn't really paying attention. Some confusion at Talk:Complex manifold.
Oleg Alexandrov. These days, he's one of the main supports of the mathematics project. He also nominated me for adminship. I think I first met him at Talk:Adjoint endomorphism (and shortly thereafter annoyed him by being too bold).
Caroline Thompson. Convinced that quantum indeterminism is wrong. Wants to add extensive articles explaining current work exploring the possibility of disproving the Aspect verification of the EPR paradox. CSTAR was the bulwark of defense against her crankiness, but I helped as well. User:DrChinese apparently followed her here from www.physicsforums.com to thwart her. Haven't seen much activity out of her lately, the efforts must have been successful. Apparently she's passed on, which explains why I haven't seen much of her around lately.
Hillman (Chris Hillman or CH). I know this guy from USENET. He was perhaps a bit sensitive about having his work edited when he first arrived. When CH was very new here, he got very upset with linas once for derailing his work.
Pjacobi. Once quoted an amusing post by me on his user page arguing with Caroline Thompson.
Phys. Responsible for a lot of articles in mathematical physics. May occasionally make questionable edits. I called into question this edit, but he never replied on the talk page.
deeptrivia. see him a lot on the reference desks. Reasonably competent. Honest try [2]. Once almost got in a ruffle about Hindu-arabic numbers, but then decided that I shouldn't care about that at all.
User:JackSarfatti. Jack Sarfatti emailed me about disparaging remarks I made about him at Talk:Hilbert space. Later I got involved in editing his article, trying to keep in other descriptions of him. I even got into a short revert war with Jimbo Wales himself over it, before deciding that I don't care enough to bother, and it's almost certainly a lost cause anyway, Jimbo is probably right.
User:StuRat I had a small but unpleasant fight with him at Talk:Exclusive nor (née Talk:XNOR). Very fond of giving incorrect answers[6] to physics questions on science ref desk. He also spearheads the movement to make technical articles more accessible, and will sometimes do battle with the people (like me) who favor concise comprehensive high level math articles. One of the warriors (the other was User:Celestianpower) on the opposing side in the battle for the Boolean algebra readabillity introduction.
Uncle G. When I was running around violating WP:POINT by AfDing List of words of Greek origin, Uncle G actually did some work and fixed everything. I haven't interacted much with him, but he's one of my favorite editors because of that.
User:Macrakis doubted my addition to transcendental number that at least one of πe and π+e is transcendental. Did a bad job of asking on the talk page (no heading or edit comment) and then removed.
