How to force through policy without consensus, a how-to guide (based on the successful implementation of WP:RfR against consensus):
- Create a poll. It doesn't matter if it's a major change, getting over 50% support it should be enough
- Contribute to MediaWiki Bugzilla as an apparent uninvolved party, claiming there was consensus, getting some unfortunate victim to implement it for you
- Create semi-random arbitrary rules before anyone can argue so it looks as though the community has actually decided on them
- Quickly advertise it on MediaWiki:Watchlist-details before anyone has time to can object
- Implement it as quickly as possible, irrespective of the fact that there's chaos going on
- Claim that too many people know about it and use it now for anything to happen to stop it being implemented
- Wait for 99% people to be bored of arguing
- Silence anyone with reasonable demands who remains unhappy about the implementation despite personally reasonable demands, as only those people who supported it in the first place care anymore and between them and they can successfully silence you.
This works best when several people work towards a single common goal. Success!
