Daniel Okwuy Okwute (born 25 September 2003) is an Irish professional footballer who plays for Kerry, as a striker.
Career
editOkwute grew up in Killarney and joined Killarney Celtic at the age of 11, and started playing for Kerry at the under-16 level.[2][3] He signed for English club Stockport County in September 2022,[4][5][6] being on the bench for the first-team.[7]
He moved on loan to Warrington Rylands 1906 in January 2023,[8][9] and to Finn Harps in February 2023.[10]
He signed for Kerry on a permanent basis in July 2023.[11][12]
Personal life
editBorn in Ireland, Okwute has a Nigerian father and a South African mother.[2]
