    The Simpsons have won 35 Primetime Emmy Awards. Not 34. https://www.emmys.com/shows/simpsons 2800:E2:280:17E:908F:304C:E563:93CC (talk) 16:54, 12 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

"Either remove, or add a reference, to the claim that "'D'oh' has been adopted into the English language." Right now this claim is unsupported/unverified. Snowballone (talk) 07:56, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not done: We don't always provide an inline citation for every sentence in the lede per WP:LEDECITE. It is cited when mentioned later The Simpsons#Idioms and also better explored at the D'oh! page which is wikilinked in the lede. Cannolis (talk) 08:47, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

    Update ratings

    edit

In "Perceived decline in quality", at the end it says "The series' ratings have also declined; while the first season enjoyed an average of 13.4 million viewing households per episode in the U.S.,[179] the twenty-first season had an average of 7.2 million viewers.[272]" What's the use for quoting the views it had more than a decade ago, and not use last year's 33rd season's ratings? 167.250.55.182 (talk) 20:16, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Furthermore: The Simpsons debuted at a time when live viewing of linear broadcast television was still the dominant form of episodic content consumption. 43% of households had no cable in 1989 and DVR and streaming didn't exist. Every spot on the broadcast schedule has markedly declined in relative ratings year-by-year since 1989; any one of the Top 30 shows of 1989 had more viewers than the most-watched show today. Discussing metrics such as profitability, share of broadcast audience, or ranking compared to other shows would give a more informative picture of how the show's popularity has changed. Why (almost) everyone in this wiki thinks that The Simpsons is now a Disney-ABC distribution?

    edit

Although anything 20th Century Fox and its service are now owned by Disney as 20th Century Pictures during 21st Century Fox acquisition which includes The Simpsons (although all shows made by FOX isn't completely made by Disney despite the current ownership), why people still thinks that The Simpsons (and other FOX shows) is now a Disney-ABC distribution while 20th Television still owns the program under its unit with Disney, even there is no sign of Disney-ABC logo appearing at the end of the show by plastering a 20th Television logo, it's still made by 20th Television although it's now made as a television production unit under the new Disney ownership that doesn't make Disney both produces and distribute The Simpsons so why people didn't know that yet? i hope people tell me more about the whole Disney distributes The Simpsons as a whole thing. Thanks! 82.9.128.20 (talk) 19:54, 28 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

    It should stay on Disney! 213.31.3.214 (talk) 06:37, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
    IT IS NOT A DISNEY DISTRIBUTION! E3490 (talk) 06:43, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Just because Disney owns 20th Century Fox (currently known as 20th Century Studios), Fox Searchlight Pictures (currently known as Searchlight Pictures), 20th Television, 20th Television Animation, 20th Century Family, and More (since 2019) doesn't mean it'll show at the end of a movie or TV show made by Fox, "Disturbed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures" or "Disturbed by Disney-ABC" 2600:1007:B0B7:5659:0:47:AAAF:9E01 (talk) 22:38, 20 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
