Seeing as this article was a short gag in said pisode, this article shouldn't exist.

What are you talking about? Felicity4711 00:36, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

pariodic

That word isn't even in wiktionary, and it's only mentioned in google in misspeeeelllings of periodic table. Family Guy Guy 15:45, 24 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Just letting you know that the mention of Superman's cellophane 'S' being thrown at General Zod is incorrect. He actually throws it at Non, the burly of the three Kryptonian fugitives from Superman II. -Fever_Chill

pic?

guys, that's not even part of the actual episode. it's some fanart, if you look closely, you can tell. also, i saw that episode, and have it, and that scene doesn't exist. you would have seen loretta's bra on the sofa if it was a screenshot. Itachi1452 03:04, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

its the promo card for the episode released by fox, so its acceptable as it usually higher quality and a decent idea of what happened in the epGrande13 11:25, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Popeye?

edit

Wasn't there some Popeye Cultural Reference made when Cleveland finally does get mad?

Ueah there was. I'm also surprised to see that the controversy surrounding the you've got aids song isn't in this article.

Obey the Giant

edit

Should we mention the RISD connection between the Giant campaign and Family Guy? Seth McFarlane is a RISD graduate. That was a connection I saw when I watched the episode. I'm putting something in. Jig 04:12, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cultural References

edit

I am trying to get to some consensus on these way overlong sections. I went and cleaned this one up, and it was reverted.

Two examples of things that I removed, which were then reverted to be included.

"Peter says the CPR dummy is “hard, jagged and tastes like alcohol—just like kissing Faye Dunaway.

After a wrestler berates the locals, Peter punches a child and shouts, "Take that Macho Man Randy Savage!" "

If I am going to be reverted on these, please explain the notability or need to include them in the section. Citations have nothing to do with it I don't believe as they are known simply from watching the episode. Gwynand (talk) 16:40, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I believe the notabillity is that they are two semi-famous people. I don't understand the demands for citations myself. It's like demanding a citation for Sunnydale exploding. Lots42 (talk) 03:33, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm not asking for citations, I never have, it's not an issue of that. The issue is that adding cultural references doesn't mean to identify every time a celebrity name was simply uttered. On a show like FG, this would (has) get quickly out of hand.Gwynand (talk) 12:52, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hmm. Well, I see both your sides, actually... but Natalie Wood *was* referenced. And who's to really say a small character like "Boner" from 'Growing Pains' is any more or less "worthy" enough to be included in celebrity or pop culture references? Know what I mean? But I get your point that including EVERY celeb and pop cult ref *could* get tedius. That's why the Family Guy Wiki site often catches others I often see excluded here. I don't know why EVERY FG ep isn't also linked to that site for more detailed info... including quotes. Macshill (talk) 23:10, 1 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Petercopter and the Hindenpeter totally ignored! Macshill (talk) 22:53, 1 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

A Bewitched reference, too

Rated High importance because of the (admittedly minor) "You Have AIDS" controversy, plus Cleveland Brown interest. (Default importance for episodes is "Low".) / edg 07:36, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
