In the popular culture section, please add the Brooklyn 99 reference made by Charles Boyle in Season 6, Episode 15. Charles says, "It's such a classic Boyle trait not to recognize talent. My cousin Susan didn't know she could sing until her late 40s."

Not done. Trivial WP:FANCRUFT, could be mentioned only if it's actually part of the storyline. Also, Metro is considered generally unreliable.  Ganbaruby! (talk) 10:09, 22 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Add that Susan Boyle is a second cousin of prominent Irish politician Dan Boyle. Their grandfathers, according to this source, were brothers. https://www.irishexaminer.com/lifestyle/arid-30409651.html 212.129.75.96 (talk) 17:25, 6 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. I don't think mentioning second cousins is terribly necessary or due. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:51, 6 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Suggest that the comilation album "Ten (2019)" be removed from the § Discography listing.

From what I've seen in numerous other articles, when musicians have external discographies like Susan Boyle discography and {{Susan Boyle}}, the inline listing is supposed to consist strictly of studio album links - so no compilations, no EPs, no albums without articles of their own, et cetera. 2A02:560:5821:6C00:8927:F475:6FA6:FF53 (talk) 12:05, 20 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Done. Thanks for the suggestion, Mokadoshi (talk) 01:31, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Confused

Boyle became the first female artist in history to have a number one album simultaneously in both the United Kingdom and United States within the space of a year. This is in the opening of the article. Does this make sense or am I missing something? Tuzapicabit (talk) 00:38, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

This is what the ref at the end of the paragraph says, emphasis mine:

I've changed it to The success continued with her second studio album, The Gift (2010), where she became only the third act ever (and the first woman artist) to top both the UK and US album charts with two different albums in the same year. which hopefully makes more sense. The achievement itself is so convoluted that I doubt there is a really straightforward way to describe it. ;)
