Regarding Routes
editHong Kong, Macao, and Taipei shall be regarding to "regional" flights due to the fact that their establishment is not based on diplomat contact.
Hongqiao-Haneda is based on the joint declaration between Premier Wen and Premier Abe: http://www.gov.cn/jrzg/2007-09/01/content_734100.htm in Chinese;
Hongqiao-Gimpo is also based on the declaration between Premier Wen and President Roh: http://www.caac.gov.cn/website/old/L1/L3/L3_7/L3_7_3/200709/t20070905_7837.html;
However, Hongqiao-Songshan, Hongqiao-Hong Kong, and Hongqiao-Macao is based on inter-department coordination:
Hongqiao-Hong Kong is based on: https://www.thb.gov.hk/tc/psp/pressreleases/transport/air/2010/201007161.pdf, using CAAC and THB instead of "China and Hong Kong";
Hongqiao-Macao is based on: http://www.gov.cn/fwxx/ly/2010-12/15/content_1766069.htm, also not referring as "China and Hong Kong".
Hongqiao-Songshan is based on: http://ws.mac.gov.tw/001/Upload/OldFile/public/Data/0426949871.pdf, referring "Trans-Strait" instead of "China and Taiwan".
Since they are not diplomat contract, they should not be considered as International but Regional. 73.8.165.35 (talk) 15:10, 10 May 2018 (UTC)

Update: International Airlines and Destinations
editHi!
I am flying Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong and will arrive at Hongqiao Airport. The airline is not on the Airlines and Deatinations list. Can you add that airline with the destination Hong Kong in it? Thanks Loveheart547 (talk) 20:08, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
Are you really sure there is Qianjiang-Hongqiao route?
editI've never seen a JIQ-SHA route. That route with Spring Airlines only flies to PVG. Please provide a source to proof that this route is operating otherwise it will be removed.
Currently, flights from SHA-Chongqing only flies to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CGK) in Chongqing, despiting Chongqing has many airports. 2607:FEA8:3F00:A9:C68:BA1D:6BEB:1EDB (talk) 02:56, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
There is only 6 runways in Shanghai for civillian use
editThe article quotes "With the new runway, Shanghai became the first city in China to have five (now seven) runways for civilian use (Pudong and Hongqiao combined)." However runway 15/33 at Pudong is not in operation (supposedly exclusively used by Comac for flight tests, don't quote me on that), and even the Pudong Airport article acknowledges it is not in use. That makes a total of 6 runways with 2 from Hongqiao and 4 in Pudong that is in commercial service. I'm considering editing this article. Howardohyea (talk) 12:08, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
