editThis page should not be speedily deleted because... (the Samsung Galaxy S7 is scheduled to be released next week, and TechRadar stated that "We've always been pretty sure the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was on the way – and now there's absolutely no doubt in our minds, as Samsung itself has mentioned the phone on one of its own websites") --Jax 0677 (talk) 19:23, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
- For future reference, you should work on pre-released articles in the draft space and then move (or in this case, request it to be moved by a sysop) once it has been released. Jolly Ω Janner 20:44, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

editNot just leaks anymore, Samsung accidentally revealed it. --ViperSnake151 Talk 05:23, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- This is the definition of a leak... "Leaked Galaxy S7 video shows off waterproofing and wireless charging" Jolly Ω Janner 05:27, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- It's not a leak if it's done by the company itself. More like a broken street date, premature posting. ViperSnake151 Talk 05:33, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Disputing the ref
editThe reference used (from The Verge which itself cites Gizmodo.com) both identifies the phone in the Indonesian commercial as the Galaxy S7. But, every other source that I've viewed states the commercial shows the S7 Edge (a closely related, but slightly different phone). Looking at the commercial itself, I tend to agree with the other sources - the phone clearly shows the curved sides that are a defining characteristic of the Edge variants from the Galaxy line in the past. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 16:24, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- I just noticed, the Gizmodo site then cites its source as being phone-probe.com[1] - that site identifies the phone being used in the commercial as the S7 Edge ... it looks like Gizmodo and The Verge then simplified the description from that source to just calling it the S7. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 16:33, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- I've updated the article to use the original source, and the description it provided (ie: S7 Edge). --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 16:37, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Seperate or single article
editFor the S6 series, the S6 and the S6 Edge were in a single article; while the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ had its own article.
For the S7 series, should the S7 and S7 Edge again be in a single article? I'm thinking we will probably wait until after the official launch to make the final call on this, but wanted to bring up the question now to get the discussion started. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 16:43, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- The S6 and the S6 Edge are in a single article because they were unveiled at the same time and had broadly similar specifications, while the S6 Edge+ was unveiled several months later, together with the Note 5. sst✈(conjugate) 12:39, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Can somebody add the Start date and age template from the current {Start date|2016|3|11} to {start date and age|2016|3|11} to correspond to Samsung Galaxy S7's official release date?
Since the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S5 do. 173.73.242.76 (talk) 00:58, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
