My opinion is this: I don't like the current photo right now, Khomeini is blurry, the color correction is bad. Let's arrange a sort of opos, who likes which photo more and why. I personally like the third option: it has good colors and a look.
Honestly, the third one is the best picture in my opinion. It’s a close up shot at his face (the most recognizable part of any human being), and the resolution is clear enough so people can tell it’s him. BlueBlurHog (talk) 15:18, 23 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
From the options the first one is the best, at first sight serious, but when looking closer, he seems friendly. The second one is maybe a bit too heavenly, celestial with the bright blue background. (while searching for other options I found out this one is the state portrait, and I can understand their choice). The third has a well perceivable background that seems to take some focus off Khomeini. Are those books in disorder? The sixth I'd support as a compromise, but there he turns his body away from the article, so I'd see it just an acceptable compromise in search of a better one.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 09:54, 21 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Not done for now: From my understanding, the nationality parameter is unnecessary if the nationality can be inferred from the birthplace parameter. Here, the birthplace is listed as Sublime State of Persia, which is not exactly the same state as the current Islamic Republic of Iran. I think this creates the possibility for confusion, especially with the name we're currently using for Khomeini's birth state (as opposed to Qajar Iran). Correction of periodical math error. Personal information in sidebar states Birthdate 1902. Death states died in 1989...(aged 89). Math suggests this should say "age 87", not 89.
Partly done: The issue stemmed from the birth year in the infobox being incorrectly listed as 1902 - per our article "According to his birth certificate, Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini, whose first name means "spirit of Allah", was born on 17 May 1900 in Khomeyn, Markazi Province although his brother Mortaza (later known as Ayatollah Pasandideh) gives his birth date of 24 September 1902, the birth anniversary of Muhammad's daughter, Fatima." Looks like someone used the birthyear given by his brother there and everywhere else we use the birth certificate year so corrected that Cannolis (talk) 19:30, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
