The lead section was structured in the form of an abstract of Othman Wok’s life, background, and career. It provides a succinct summary of his relevance to Singapore’s founding history and development during his term in office, and also gives a brief outline of his post-political career, personal life and achievements.
Structure is clear with several headings and subheadings done with correct coding, resulting in a format that made for easy reading and understanding. Segmentation of the article was done in a logical and chronological manner, moving from background and education to career and retirement. This is consistent with the format of other Wikipedia pages on renowned political figures.
Sources could have however come from a wider diversity of resources. Most sources were linked to the People’s Action Party’s bulletins as well as the Singapore Government’s publications. This could have lent itself to a certain level of biasness in the group’s article with respect to the portrayal of his role and impact as Minister for Social Affairs, seeing that Othman Wok was a member of the PAP.
Overall, this article has lifted the Othman Wok Wikipedia page from a stub to a complete biography page well-deserved by a member of the old guard in Singapore’s history.OngSiWei (talk) 01:46, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
