Orphaned references in Martin, South Dakota
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Martin, South Dakota's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 17:52, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
On the Reference to Martin City:
Hello Wiki editors: As a Geographer for the U.S. Census Bureau, I sometimes notice omissions of fact that can lead to misinformation about a place or other geography. In the case of Martin City South Dakota, the City is entirely on the Pine Ridge Reservation. This was established by treaty in the late 1800's and re-affirmed by the U.S. Supreme court several times since. I believe the tag line on Martin should read something like "...is a City in Bennett County on the Pine Ridge Reservation of South Dakota." This statement better recognizes the sovereign nation status of the Oglala Sioux Nation and their reservation.Castagneri (talk) 20:13, 27 July 2020 (UTC) J. Castagneri
