editLindsey Kemp Played in the 80's at the Sadlers Wells some marvelllous productions of Shakespeares "Midsummers Nights Dream" "Divine" and another I cant remember. All beautifully choreographed and presented. Have a programme at home I kept and will add more. This artist deserves more coverage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.214.57.7 (talk) 12:36, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
South Shields
edit"Born on the Isle of Lewis on May 3, 1938, Kemp was raised in Yorkshire.." Why is he in the category "People from South Shields"? Paul B (talk) 13:41, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, I see this was changed by an IP in this edit [1]. No edit summary was given, and other sources say he was born in Shields [2] so will change it back. It seems that Kemp told lies, according to the Guardian: "In the past, his tendency to elaborate has resulted in a kind of parallel autobiography, a Kemp who was born on a remote Scottish island, expelled from school and thrown to the wolves in London. The truth is more mundane: Kemp was born in South Shields and went to boarding school in Berkshire. "I find myself telling the truth more these days," he admits." WP:OR - Birkenhead
editA User who has not edited since 2006 (and even then it was only 4 edits) has changed the DoB, with Edit summary:
- "I have changed place of birth after conversation with Lindsay Kemp and backed up by birth certificates. Prime source.."
A classic case of WP:OR, but I can't be bothered reverting, as South Shields wasn't referenced either.--Mais oui! (talk) 18:55, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
- Official birth records (subscriber-only link here) confirm that he was born in the Wirral, so Birkenhead (in line with other sources) seems correct. Ghmyrtle (talk) 13:43, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
Sexuality
editNothing about his personal life or sexuality? The fact that he had a romatic relationship with Bowie that resulted in a faux-suicide attempt on Kemp's part? 208.54.37.142 (talk) 09:50, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
