History section

edit

This reads like a magazine article not an encyclopaedia entry. The section needs to be put into chronological order rather than grouping events by whether they were disasters or good news for Japanese rugby.

I will do so in a weeks' time or so unless there is strong opposition from other Wikipedians.GordyB 14:47, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Japan and the Tri-Nations

edit

I wonder why Japan which is the best of his continent participate to the Tri-Nations?Why Australia, New-Zealand and South Africa don't want Japan to this competition? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.1.242.129 (talk) 19:01, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Because Japan are terrible and would be humiliated every match.GordyB 19:24, 30 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Japan is improving in the last years and won recently Fiji, Samoa and Tonga, all countries with better results in the Rugby World Cup. However to be admited to the Tri Nations, Four Nations since 2012, they would have to reach the first tier of World rugby. Due to the country large population it is not an impossible objective but they still need to improve a lot. They have the chance of doing their best Rugby World Cup ever in 2011.85.241.145.16 (talk) 01:12, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Japan vs Tonga rivalry section ?

edit

Japan won its fifth consecutive game against Tonga last week, both teams are considered as the 13th and 14th teams in the world since a long time now. Japan and Tonga have a strong relationship, Japan NT captures a lot of Tongans in his national team. Stasm (talk) 00:50, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Japan national rugby union team

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Japan national rugby union team's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "ITA":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 10:27, 21 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
