Having produced an "improved" version of the diagram for this line, including the "plumbing" for the Yeovil area, I find it necessary to remove the dates to stop the width of the diagram from dominating the article. Rather than just stick it in I'm seeking opinions as to whether the new version, available on My Page, is better. My opinion is that the layout at Yeovil is more within the scope of a diagram than the dates are anyway, but I'd like your opinion before deciding what to do next. Thanks! I think your diagram is an improvement. I think I can probably get away with straightening the central line, which may narrow it too - I'll make a copy and put it here. AlexTiefling10:16, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for that. I'll look out for the diagram. I've tweaked the one on My Page, to reflect the adding of the connection east of Yeovil Town in 1967 to maintain the link between the two lines. I'm not being awkward - it was something I planned to do anyway....honest... Britmax12:12, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
My version is now in place. I'm not sure what the 'LUECKE' icon in your new version indicates, so I haven't been able to add it to mine. Let me know what you think. Many thanks! AlexTiefling13:08, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
The 'LUECKE' was supposed to key into the note to the right to point out that the similar link in the diagram was recent (1967). I couldn't get it to work very well. I must admit I'm not keen on moving Clifton Maybank and Yeovil Junction apart, as their proximity was an anomaly created by railway rivalry. The GWR couln't call it Yeovil Junction Goods, you see, for that was an L&SWR station ! I might be being picky, though. If you think so, just say so. Britmax18:53, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
