On http://www.answers.com/topic/deutsches-w-rterbuch, it has an article which is said to be from Wikipedia. Although what is here right now can be found, that article is much more detailed. I couldn't find anything in the history, maybe I'll have another look, but it seems strange that all that information was taken out!Cakie (talk) 11:40, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Don't worry, I found it eventually, just took a while! Some of that info is actually correct, if I have time I'll add some more detail (verifible detail of course!) Cakie (talk) 11:46, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The last full revision is this one here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Deutsches_W%C3%B6rterbuch&oldid=154187148 Does anyone know why it was removed? --Armin Ronacher (talk) 14:14, 3 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Seems like the bulk was added by a sockpuppet, it seems strange if that would be the only reason, though. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 00:01, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
That user's original account was blocked for copyright infringement, so all the added content was suspected a copyright violation. It doesn't seem like this article had been separately reviewed, but since there was an edit war, it's a bad idea to copy it back in. I don't see any way to tell wether it's copyright infringement, google didn't return any hits for me (not even this article). --Se'taan (talk) 19:32, 13 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Where is the online version now?

edit

Uni Trier has stopped serving up the online version of the dictionary and the link is broken. Does anyone know where it went? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kmatthia (talkcontribs) 18:29, 30 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

It WAS one of the most important books

edit

its out of print for more than 40 years; my father knows it, but only from his own school days (he is teaching German). (fwolf) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.252.101.31 (talk) 16:19, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

UPdate

edit

The BBAW is set to publish an update to the dictionary in 2012. I've freshened up the article and added references, more to come. -- Ultracobalt  (talk) 10:15, 22 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

The 1st paragraph states "The first completed DWB lists over 330,000 headwords in 67,000 print columns spanning 32 volumes." and refers to Reference 4 which is a URL pointing to a page that states "The page does not exist" (although the links it provides may be useful). I found that there are 33 volumes here: http://woerterbuchnetz.de/cgi-bin/WBNetz/wbgui_py?sigle=DWB&lemid=GA00001&mode=Vernetzung&hitlist=&patternlist=&mainmode=Vorworte

The 2nd paragraph needs an update as it states "Volumes A-F are planned for completion in 2012 by the Language Research Centre at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities[4] and the University of Göttingen."Bmh81 (talk) 21:24, 19 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Deutsches Wörterbuch. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
