Hi Guys, it's great to find an english translation/description of this tradional bavarian meal here!
But... There is somthing odd about barians and their dishes... We (bavarians and austrians as well) also have sweet stuff as main dishes! They are called "Mehlspeisen", translated "flour-dishes", are usually sweet, and are served as main-dishes!!!!
Pancakes for example. (But the bavarian pancakes look a bit different like the amerikan ones)
So, it can happen to you that they will serve you a dampfnudel with vanilla custard as a main dish. I'd like to succest to have a cold glass of milk with it.
