FK Partizan
editApperently FK Partizan has been banned by UEFA.[1] [2] Could be good to know if they should qualify. Qed237 (talk) 13:10, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, time to talk about this. Ban is still in effect? Qed237 (talk) 20:45, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
- It seems like ban is lifted according to ESPN. Qed237 (talk) 20:53, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
- UEFA is slow to update. Here is official document from CAS. Qed237 (talk) 21:02, 17 May 2017 (UTC)

Coefficient for AS Monaco
editPlease update coefficient for AS Monaco because Olympique Lyon has been eliminated by Dutch Ajax. --31.0.122.97 (talk) 18:52, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
RB Leipzig & Salzbug
editBoth teams cannot play concurrently the same UEFA competition, because they both have the same owner. 213.27.184.202 (talk) 13:31, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
- Decision will be taken by UEFA in June. They have changed the owner structures in recent years so they might both play. Qed237 (talk) 13:34, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
Well, seems like this problem is solved. Matchbeak (talk) 21:03, 2 August 2017 (UTC)

Seeding
editJust like before I have prepared seeding which can be shown in User:Qed237/sandbox6. It will be updated in the article after this season has been finished (coefficients confirmed) and all teams have qualified (i.e. all leagues has ended).
If you see any errors, please let me know. Qed237 (talk) 11:22, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

Grammar
editQed237, your recent correction does not make sense. The note clearly talks about a single entity, a French club, yet your justification for reverting my correction was "because they are". In the same note in following parentheses it is stated "which is". So how is that "they are"?? Since when Monaco is plural? Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 20:45, 24 July 2017 (UTC)
- I'm assuming it was reverted for consistency within the article, as elsewhere "are" is used when referring to a single club, e.g. "Real Madrid are the two-time defending champions." Boothy m (talk) 23:42, 24 July 2017 (UTC)
- A team is considered to contain players and they are therefore plural. I have looked into this in the past and it has been discussed at WT:FOOTY. The best source I can find at the moment (dont have time to look now) is this with information like
- Most publications that use American English apply a logical approach to refer to groups with such names by using singular verbs and pronouns, but most written in British English, apparently valuing consistency over logic, use plural forms. Whether the verb form for generic references is singular or plural — “The band is back on the road again” or “The band are back on the road again” — is, likewise, usually a matter of preference based on the variety of English employed.
- This article uses British English and then we use are as most common. Qed237 (talk) 11:02, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

2018-19 Edition
editWhen is the wiki page for the Champions League 2018-19 edition going to be added. Other years, the page was made around this time of year. Is there a specific reason it hasn't been added yet? — Preceding unsigned comment added by FistinPenguin (talk • contribs) 20:21, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
- It will be created when UEFA announces details about the new three-year cycle. Qed237 (talk) 10:02, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
Assists statistics
editIs that table really necessary? Seems a bit pointless to me. Govvy (talk) 22:35, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
- Funny. I thought it was about time that UEFA caught up with the rest of the planed in recording assists. Good on them. Better that we quickly caught the statistic and added it quickly as well. Giving credit for assists is long overdue. Walter Görlitz (talk) 07:18, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
