Neu-Hohenschönhausen (German: [ˈnɔʏ ˌhoːənʃøːnˈhaʊzn̩] , lit. 'New Hohenschönhausen') is a German locality (Ortsteil) in the borough (Bezirk) of Lichtenberg, Berlin. Until 2001 it was part of the former Hohenschönhausen borough.

History
editAs early as the 19th century, the name Neu-Hohenschönhausen was applied to a settlement west of the old village of Hohenschönhausen, now occupied by the Sportforum and its surrounding neighborhood.[2] Today this area bears a different name.

editNeu-Hohenschönhausen is located in the north-eastern part of Berlin. It borders with the localities of Malchow, Falkenberg, Wartenberg, Alt-Hohenschönhausen, Weißensee, Stadtrandsiedlung Malchow (both in Pankow district) and Marzahn (in Marzahn-Hellersdorf district).
