Joseph G. Burke is an American author, inventor, and actor. He is the founder of VICTURY Sports and The Anatomy of YES, LLC. Burke also appeared as an actor in the 2003 film The Challenge.
Early life and education
editBurke grew up in New Jersey, Illinois, and New York. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where he received the Hylan Scholarship.[1] At RIT, Burke participated in NCAA wrestling and served as a Student Directorate Representative.
Career
editIn 2014, Burke founded The Anatomy of YES, LLC, a company that produces educational content. His documentary works include Made in the USA: A 30-Day Journey, and LMA. He also published a book, The Anatomy of YES: The Story Behind Every Sale, in 2019.[2][3][4][5]
Burke founded VICTURY Sports in 2016 and is the inventor of Ollyball, a patented toy that won the 2019 Toy of the Year award.[6][7][4][8] Ollyball was also featured at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.[9]
From 2012 to 2014, Burke served as Vice President of Marketing and Community Development at Goodwill Industries of Orange County.[1] In this role, he managed marketing strategies that contributed to increased retail sales and social media engagement. Burke's team launched the "Find the Good" campaign, which received Addy Awards.
Burke has worked as Brand Director for Disney Store in North America, overseeing campaigns for Disney franchises.[8][1] He also managed digital marketing campaigns at Wet Seal and co-founded Burke Brothers, an advertising agency, where he worked on campaigns for clients such as Red Bull, Marriott, and Arizona State University Athletics.
