He threw a 71-yard touchdown to wide receiver Tyrone Pronty on a screen pass to make the score 21–14 midway through the second quarter. Redshirt freshman running back Jordan Hopgood scored a pair of touchdowns for the Falcons, twice converting on fourth-and-goal plays from the 1-yard line for the Falcons other two scores. Bowling Green ended the non-conference portion of the schedule with a record of 1–3.[15]
