Óscar Humberto Évora Santos (born September 8, 1960)[1] in Lém Ferriera, Cabo Verde is a Cape Verdean politician and the Governor of the central Bank of Cape Verde .[2][3]

Santos was the president of Praia city council from 2016 to 2020. He has been the Governor of Banco de Cabo Verde since 4 January 2021.[4]
Education
editOscar holds a Bachelor's degree in Economic Theory and Quantitative Methods and Master's degree in Economics, Specialization in Business and Finance, from the American University, Washington DC, United States of America.[4]
Career
editOscar was the former Mayor of Praia[5] from 2016 to 2020,[4] and previously worked with the World Bank[6] in 1994 and the United Nations[7] in 2000.
