DYK for Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002

On 10 May 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. Question

Hi, I see that you emptied Category:Albania in the Turkvision Song Contest and nominated it for speedy deletion WP:CSD C1. I'm not sure if that is the correct procedure in this case. Shouldn't it be nominated for speedy deletion per WP:C2F? The result will be the same, but the latter specifically says categories shouldn't be emptied before nominating them for deletion. Nederlandse Leeuw (talk) 16:51, 5 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Nederlandse Leeuw: Hmm, I suppose. I didn't know about that because neither WP:C1 nor the template's documentation link to it any instructions saying I couldn't do that. Grk1011 (talk) 20:22, 5 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yeah I'm not sure you weren't allowed to do it, it just seemed WP:C2F would be the best approach in the case of 1 eponymous category. Anyway, the result will be the same; I would have agreed with deleting it per SMALLCAT. Cheers, Nederlandse Leeuw (talk) 20:25, 5 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
