OLD BOAT, OLD CAMERA AND ME

 WHEN STRESS OVERCOMES YOU,
THEN GO TO SEA.
 ON A BOAT CALLED 'DUET'.
WHEN A GOOD CREW AND ME
WENT SAILING FOR ADVENTURE
WITH A SKIPPER AT THE HELM
AND ALL SAILS SET

FROM A LOVELY OLD MAST
AND HAPPY SAILOR ME, IS BACK FROM THE SEA.
Years ago I went to sea on the 22 metre gaff yawl tall ship built in 1912, named Duet to get more sail training experience for my RYA coastal skipper qualification. I joined the ship armed with a film camera and managed to get a few shots when we had quiet moments dry enough to get the camera out.  It was a great experience to sail on a boat with out any mechanical winches, but we had to 'sweat' using only our strength and techniques to haul up the sails, avoid being decapitated by the 'boom', and try to keep dry when the seas get rough. It was awe inspiring and I highly recommend it.
