The Rapier is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest series, usually being the first fencing sword a player has access to.

The Rapier has an Attack bonus of +17, and Angelo joins with it equipped. The Hero cannot use this weapon as the slashing style is different from his own.
The Rapier can be purchased in Simpleton for 300 gold coins and sold for 150 gold coins.
