Mercenary party
The Mercenary party are a traveling group who appeared in Dragon Quest IV.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]
The mercenary party forms shortly after Psaro the Manslayer is believed to have killed the legendary Hero. This party forms with the intent to pursue and defeat Estark the Lord of the Underworld.
As they leave Casabranca, they unknowingly cross paths with the Hero, unable to recruit him as the group is full of four members.
The party after several changes later encounter Tsarevna Alena who is seeking to find the Feverfew of Parthenia to save her bed ridden companion Kiryl.
The four travel to the Imperial Pantry of Parthenia, with the other three members being surprised at Alena forcing down a door that could have been opened by a Thief's Key.
They search in vein as Alena's other companion Borya obtains the seeds with the aid of the Hero, Maya and Meena Mahabala, as well as Torneko Taloon.
The never show up again for the remainder of the Hero's journey.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]
Alena and the party encounter the Luminary and his party when they arrived at an earlier point to prevent a Flamethrower from destroying the Feverfew seeds.
Roster[edit]
- Warrior: Leads the party at Casabranca and the Imperial Pantry of Parthenia.
- Priest: Informs civilians and unknowingly the Hero of their goal to save the world.
- Dancer: Is present when the party is leaving Casabranca, but absent in the Imperial Pantry of Parthenia.
- Merchant: Joins the party for the fun of traveling around the world.
- Alena: Tsarevna of Zamoksva. Joins the party to save her companion Kiryl. She leaves when the Hero's party finds the Feverfew seeds and joins them in turn.
