Hi folks, it time to emboss things as we start a brand new challenge for this month over at Let's Squash It!
During October we'd like you to use an embossing folder and pair it with another embossing technique. You can use two embossing folders on the same piece of card or combine dry embossing with heat embossing. The two types of embossing must be together, so an embossed background plus a panel with an embossed sentiment won't pass muster. If you need any guidance Gail did a fabulous inspiration post to get your mojo revved up and ready to go!
Here's what I created for this challenge. Sadly, I needed a sympathy card as my friend has just lost her beautiful dog. I kept the card very simple and first embossed with Couture Creations EF Fudge (so pretty) and then swiped a Versamark pad across the raised areas and then heat embossed with Altenew Translucent Pearl powder. The end result is so pretty and sparkly, and so hard to photograph!

Fabulous Jo. Love the way the EP made the embossed bits look so shiny. Great challenge this month,
Lovely sympathy card, Jo - just love the powder embossing on the dry embossed folder! Thanks for a fun challenge!!
Love this effect Jo, a really elegant-looking card.
Simple yet eyecatching! I like how you placed the tag and used it for the purpose to fit a sentiment on an embossed background. Clever.
I know, it is such a shame when the shine doesn't show up on photos. I am imagining a very pretty sparkle that enhances this very pretty card xx
Hi Jo
What a gorgeous embossing folder. It has made a beautiful finished card.
Sorry for being a total stranger at the moment. Life has been a bit bumpy at this end and I am only just getting to catch up with things again. Hopefully things are going to run a bit more smoothly now (she says with fingers tightly crossed).
Hope you are keeping well and life is being good to you.
Love Jules xx
Just gorgeous Jo. Great theme for the challenge this month. Love your card.
