With consistent practice, most healthy adults can train and eventually learn how to do the splits. However, there are some structural differences that make it more optimal for some people to be training for the splits and less optimal for others. If you are working on your flexibility these are for you. 
I know so many people are doing splits training or wanting to get into training. Add these to your sessions, they're some of my favourite ways to train & prep my body for splits. 
Do a full warm up before completing these movements. 

✨Train both sides evenly 
✨8-16 reps Both sides (adapt where needed) 
✨Warm up for about 15-20 minutes first 
✨Only go as far as you feel comfortable 
✨Listen to your body 
✨Never push through pain
