No other identification or location is given with the individual pictures. The scanned resolution is poor where many of the signs cannot be read. The Nipa hut (Bahay Kubo) is one of the older forms of housing in the Philippines. It is made with materials such as bamboo, coconut wood, cogon grass, and nipa palm leaves and coconut fronds as roof thatching. Most huts are built on stilts due to frequent flooding during the rainy season.
