Hello there, thanks so much for stopping by.

Today I have a very special layout to share with you that I

created as a little memorial to my sweet fur baby Tilly, who

sadly crossed over the "Rainbow Bridge" last week. To say we are

devestated is an understatement & so I thought I would to a Christmas

layout featuring her & using these photos I took of her back in 2014.

I absolutely adore these photos of her & so I have worked

the whole layout to match  them as I soooo wanted to do them justice.

This was also a design team creation for 2Crafty chipboard
& naturally I used lots of their lovely Christmas chipboard pieces.

“Christmas 2015”A Design Team Creation for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello there, thanks so much for calling by the blog.
Today I have another Christmas layout to share with you
& it features this gorgeous photo that was taken on Christmas Day
back in 2015 of myself with my eldest son Beau & his daughter Mia.
I had assembled a bunch of props in readiness for our photo shoot
including this big frame I'm holding & of course lots of Chrissy hats too.

I created this layout as part of my design team work this month for

2Crafty Chipboard

and naturally I have used lots of their various chipboard pieces.

Ornament Sampler

After creating a lovely subtle mixed media background and

& adding some layers behind the photo I set about customising 

all my chipboard pieces to match.

Everything was given a coat of white gesso to start & then I began to colour
up all the chippie pieces with some acrylic paints. All these gorgeous holly

pieces were cut apart from the middle frame from the "Holly Frame Set". 

 I did the same to the title which I had cut the word "Christmas" off of the

"Love at Christmas" title & also I cut

 the "Christmas Sampler" into pieces as well.

Thats the great thing about chipboard, you can cut it
up to suit your project.

"Special Day"A Mixed Media Design Team Post For 2Crafty Chipboard

 Well hi there & hello, thanks for stopping by.

Today I have a layout to share that I created as part of
my design team work for 2Crafty Chipboard.

 I have created this lovely mixed media background to

 help showcase it all. I hope you like it. 

After firstly creating my background with pastes, 

stencilling & sprays I then set about altering all

the chipboard pieces to match it & I was super happy
with how they turned out. That is the beauty of using chipboard, 

you can customise it to match absolutely any theme or style!!

For my title, it actually said, "Special Days" but I just snipped

off the "S" which worked better with this layout. Too easy !!

I coloured it up with a couple of different colour paints.

This is the magnificent "Handrawn Heart Frame" which by the way,
a few of the other design team girls have also used lately. Be sure

to check out how they too have used it.  It really is soo

nice we all LOVE it. I have coloured it the same way I did the title.

The last pieces of chippie I have used on my layout are from
the "Leafy Shrub Set #1", another fantastic piece & one which

I personally use quite regularly. This set of shrubery works sooo

well with flowers etc. 

I firstly applied some texture paste to the petals to create

some texture on the leaves before I painted them.

I always love to get my "grunge on" occassionally.

Don't get me wrong, I love doing pretty & feminine with
lots of pretty flowers but it is always sooo good to get grungy occassionally.

This layout has lots of gorgeous layers as well

as some awesome Mintay cut outs as well.

I think you will love creating this awesome grungy
"DUDE" title too. It is always good to learn some new
techniques along the way.

Gotta love those chippie "View Finders" & that fabulous

 "Aztec Chippie Arrow" & not to mention those sweet little

chippie"Mini Buttons" scattered around the page too,

“Hello”Mixed Media Layout For2Crafty Chipboard

 Hi there & hello, thanks so much for calling by.
Today I have a mixed media layout to share with you for
that I created for some design team work for
2Crafty chipboard.

"Hello" - title

Magnolia Stems

So to start my layout I have created a nice mixed media
 background with stencils, pastes & paints & then lots of
fussy cut layers with some added burlap, flowers & vines.

I have tucked a piece of the "Mandala #5" in behind my photo
as well as a piece from the "Mini Flourish Bits" in
amongst my flowers. I love the added texture it creates.

Next came this fabulous "Hello" title.
All pieces were firstly primed
with white gesso followed by a very rough coat of
Prima Marketing "Metallique" paint.

The only exception to painting all the pieces was this 

awesome little "Mini Title Stick" which I left raw as I

thought it worked well with my colour palette.

My most favourite piece I have used is this fabulous
"Magnolia Stem" at the bottom of my photo.
It really is such a statement piece!!
