2019-11-22 01:16:21 UTC

I'm going to vc

2019-11-22 02:13:55 UTC

@Ulithian I mean as long as you don't just straight-up abandoned shit for decades at a time expecting it to still be completely abandoned when you come back after those decades

how is conditional property rights really a problem?

2019-11-22 02:16:58 UTC

@SHEPARD D☭G Opens the door to coersion.

2019-11-22 02:31:48 UTC

@Ulithian no it doesn't you straight up abandoned something you simply abandoned it there's no application of force

2019-11-22 02:33:07 UTC

Unless you write your phone number on every single candy wrapper beer can and any other Petty object you can think of then there's no way to even contact the original owner if someone wanted respect the property rights of abandoned items

Thus the conditional ownership makes far more sense then attempting to keep ownership permanently

2019-11-22 02:41:03 UTC

Abandonment is one thing, using conditional property rights to legitimise theft of idle business is another.

2019-11-22 03:05:04 UTC

an Owner Operator who fell sick is ripe to be exploited by conditional property rights.

2019-11-22 03:06:43 UTC

You would consider it an exploitation of their labour

2019-11-22 03:07:15 UTC

if workers just took his business from him.

2019-11-22 03:18:00 UTC

@Ulithian wait for the mental gymnastics

2019-11-22 17:45:48 UTC

@Ulithian there is no exploitation

If the property is abandoned then it's abandoned and clearly not desired by its original owner anymore

Those are the conditions that you think are repressive

2019-11-22 20:26:10 UTC

@SHEPARD D☭G you completely ignored my argument.

2019-11-22 21:34:19 UTC

That's because ignoring basic concepts is not an argument

How are you being coerced into giving up abandoned property when you have abandoned it?

2019-11-22 21:36:41 UTC

Being sick and abandonment are completely different things

The only people who would try to coerce you for being sick would be some sort of Might is right authoritarian

Which is significantly different than someone rooting through your garbage can or cutting away some of the overgrown weeds to a spooky Mansion that was forgotten years ago

2019-11-22 21:43:37 UTC

"ownership is legitimate only so long as it remains in use or occupation" that's my definition of mutualist property rights

I have only provided an example where this criteria could be met without abandonment.

2019-11-22 21:45:29 UTC

"The only people who would try to coerce you for being sick would be some sort of Might is right authoritarian" regardless of system you will always have assholes try and take advantage of your situation.

2019-11-22 22:09:35 UTC

Can you please @SHEPARD D☭G @Ulithian help you keep convos in topic specifics instead of liberty lounge, videos, etc. this is either <#612182185432055828> or <#612182055077412896>

2019-11-22 22:10:15 UTC

Soon I will be making it to where video, memes, selfies, etc, are post only and no texting will be allowed to solve this problem

2019-11-22 22:10:40 UTC

No worries

2019-11-22 22:11:06 UTC

Mainly for him jot you

2019-11-22 22:11:10 UTC

2019-11-22 23:19:11 UTC

@Ulithian your example of someone being sick makes the assumption that sick people are incapable of owning using an occupying anything

2019-11-22 23:21:48 UTC

When illness does not actually inhibit your ability to live somewhere or use items

2019-11-23 03:45:03 UTC

oof

2019-11-24 12:14:15 UTC

We don't actually care

2019-11-24 12:14:27 UTC

We just think that it's inefficient

2019-11-24 12:14:35 UTC

Personally I don't give a fuck

2019-11-24 12:14:55 UTC

Imho there are cases where a co operatives structure makes more sense.

2019-11-24 12:15:23 UTC

Unless you pull that theory of occupation then come steal my property cause I wasn't using

2019-11-24 12:48:06 UTC

Can you defend it?

2019-11-24 12:48:15 UTC

if yes, then occupancy is irrelevant

2019-11-24 16:16:48 UTC

Co ops would do great for charities, rehabilitation centers, and businesses with similar requirements

2019-11-24 20:39:29 UTC

@Jonathan The Shaman so basically any and all forms of Industry
