"we know quantum mechanics as a very odd and nonsensical science" what is life?

2019-10-11 01:11:59 UTC

you're mixing theory with proven

2019-10-11 01:12:02 UTC

1 vs 1 people

2019-10-11 01:12:05 UTC

double sit experiment, heisenberg's uncertainty principle, etc.

2019-10-11 01:12:05 UTC

@oƃǝW I think it's the interpretations of quantum mechanics that's nonsensical science

2019-10-11 01:12:18 UTC

i know all of that

2019-10-11 01:12:25 UTC

so what is your argument @oƃǝW how is it "nonsensical"?

2019-10-11 01:12:34 UTC

I'm just waiting for you to explain so I can't strawman you by mistake

2019-10-11 01:12:45 UTC

I don't have an argument right now, im neutral to both sides of the simulated universe theory

2019-10-11 01:12:46 UTC

dont attack him. @he vibin tho

2019-10-11 01:12:54 UTC

i wanna see what he has to say

2019-10-11 01:12:58 UTC

im just saying what I know

2019-10-11 01:13:15 UTC

🍿

2019-10-11 01:13:16 UTC

If you want my personal theory on what I think the universe really is....

2019-10-11 01:13:17 UTC

And what is it that you know about quantum mechanics to make you say it is nonsensical

2019-10-11 01:14:02 UTC

like a crack in a piece of glass, the universe is a crack in absolute-nothingness

2019-10-11 01:14:21 UTC

Cause that makes sense

2019-10-11 01:14:24 UTC

the way subatomic particles behave doesn't make much sense when it comes to the physics we know. Im not trying to poke holes in quantum mechanics

2019-10-11 01:14:28 UTC

Globe earth = we are insignificant and worthless, Flat earth = earth is divine and full of love and beauty.

2019-10-11 01:14:41 UTC

lol

2019-10-11 01:14:54 UTC

thinks behave differently at different scales @oƃǝW

2019-10-11 01:15:03 UTC

that's not true. i think there is a beauty in being the only creatures in a massive universe. just because the world out there is huge doesn't mean we're insignificant.

2019-10-11 01:15:18 UTC

Oh man Oak you know how to tell a good one that's for sure

2019-10-11 01:15:21 UTC

we arent the only creatures

2019-10-11 01:15:35 UTC

you forgot about dogs

2019-10-11 01:15:45 UTC

Thats what you guys perpetuate.

2019-10-11 01:15:52 UTC

@oƃǝW I think quantum mechanics makes perfect sense when you are able to model all particles as waves that are always at the speed of light, but in 4 or more dimensions.

2019-10-11 01:15:56 UTC

@oƃǝW When you say that subatomic particles dont make sense. Are you disregarding quantum entanglement and their observable effects? This is direct data that we can observer. Sure, they act strangely, but nonetheless it is indeed an occurance

2019-10-11 01:16:16 UTC

all Im saying is that they act strangely

2019-10-11 01:16:24 UTC

they do

2019-10-11 01:16:25 UTC

i dont know much aside from the basics

2019-10-11 01:16:28 UTC

And when you are able to break down the wave fronts into their component 'intersection' waves which are each faster than the speed of light.

2019-10-11 01:16:35 UTC

that doesnt make them any less real

2019-10-11 01:16:57 UTC

i feel like you're trying to make an argument, but i dont really know what it's about

2019-10-11 01:17:09 UTC

@oƃǝW I was the same way before I got into QM. You just need to start reading about it.

2019-10-11 01:17:20 UTC

you joined in on another convo i was having

2019-10-11 01:17:42 UTC

I can link you to some books

2019-10-11 01:17:43 UTC

for me, there's nothing really strange about quantum mechanics

2019-10-11 01:17:49 UTC

how so

2019-10-11 01:17:53 UTC

ah yeah, i was just trying to take the place of the other person because they seemed unwilling to discuss the topic

2019-10-11 01:18:01 UTC

QM is very strange
