New mermaid brooches ...OOAK

New in my shop (OK I made them a while back but seriously considered keeping them for myself), 5 heart-shaped-mermaid wooden brooches.

There are only 5, each being totally OOAk as I won't be able to find supplies to make similar ones.
They're listed in my Dina Fragola shop on Etsy.

A tour of my summer workroom

During the summer month, I can use the workroom. Sadly, as the heating system was never installed in that room, it is way too cold to use in the colder weather.
It is by a long shot my favorite space in the house, the light is great and it just has a comfy feel.

The kitchen makeover

After 5 years of bright greens, a kitchen makeover was long overdue. I opted for wallpaper this time as the kitchen walls are pretty rough and not nice at all (not sure why I let myself talked into painting them in the first place).
You may notice Eugénie...

This cat print reminds me of my beloved Le-Quart-d'une-Noix who, I swear, could hear the sound of milk!

Old mismacthed furniture was painted blue

New things galore

I have not been good at updating the blog lately...it's just I have been super busy making and creating new stuff...so much  stuff that I have actually hurt my left thumb.
I have already listed part of the new batch...but there are over 100 items still waiting to be photographed and listed. Fortunately I can do that without hurting myself further ;)

All the new items are available in my 3 shops : Etsy  Alittlemarket Dawanda

New floor in the office

Daget inspecting the empty room
I didn't really take a break during this Easter holiday. My shops were in semi-vacation mode but I had lots of plans for the house. I finally placed a new vinyl floor in my office. It used to be an old wooden floor, it was OK but needed lots of work to look nice + with the tiler's crappy work in the hallway, transition between rooms was not very smooth...a gaping hole and a 1cm height difference  were not pretty.
The hardest part was removing all the furniture and stuff. Fortunately I didn't have to remove the huge shelves on the left as they are attached to the wall.
Vinyl being unrolled
First I covered the whole room with thin MDF planks (not pictured because ugly and...well, I forgot too) and then I dragged the vinyl roll into the room. That's kind of tough  because it is heavy.
Some cuttings and double sticky tape required et voilà!

Note the pretty brass transition bar there ...no more  ugly hole.
The furniture was re-arranged and I have more space now.

Pepita didn't like all the commotion, she looked very worried and requested cuddles all the time. Once the room was finished (but still empty)...it turned into her personal training dojo. She'd bring a toy and play like crazy. She was slightly disappointed when I brought the furniture back in.

A new outfit

Believe it or not I always have plenty of ideas to blog about, even photos...and I never get round to posting them.

Will try to remedy that...eventually ;)
So here's my new outfit for fall. I have had that fabric for ...years. I started the blouse 2 years ago, and then it just stayed there unfinished until this week, when I had a sudden sewing attack and not only finished the blouse but also made the matching skirt.

And of course Pepita had to help and supervise.
Seen here holding the pattern firmly in place.

Diego was a bit less interested

My new Moo

My new Moo (free) cards and stickers :) The Moo business card is the one at the bottom. The top card is a free Vista Print one. I like those too. You can see the difference of colors between the 2 cards made from the same Photshop file. The Vista Prints ones are more "true colored" but I like the vintage feel of the Moo ones.

I might order the free ones with the Dawanda discount too ;)
