Dining on the Deck!

We have had several real nice evenings that allow us to eat outside on the deck. I try to take advantage of any opportunity we get because as FAST as summer is going, I know we won't get these opportunities for too long. I LOVE eating outdoors. I found these dishes last year and dug them out to use. I have plants in blue pots out here on the deck so it all blends nicely.
 The turtles are so cute and since the deck overlooks the pond they are fitting.
 I have had these napkins for ages, found them at Goodwill years ago and can't believe how well they go with the dishes! I stacked 2 outdoor placemats that go so well with the dishes.
 I had gathered a plain blue napkin and the print one in a white ceramic ring.

 Green flatware is used again here. I am sorry for the glare on the dishes but I couldn't avoid it.
 The stems as well as the plates are all acrylic. Perfect for outdoors with no worry of breakage.
 After I set the table I remembered I had these fish napkin rings!  Perfect!!!
 We are enjoying many meals out here. That is one of the best things about summer for me, being able to eat outside. How about you, do you enjoy it too?

Thanks for your visit. Is summer flying by for you too? I always start wishing it lasted longer around this time each year.  Have a beautiful day, my friends.

Breakfast Room Refresh with Texture!

I got tired of the snowmen so put them all away. It was time. I needed and am enjoying a lighter, cleaner look. As  many of you know, Joe made this hutch for me in the old house. I still love it and changing the look of it for the seasons.
 I did a new arrangement in the demijohn. Then added a bee skep and an old bottle for the vignette on top.
 Greens, baskets and pottery are features right now.
 My little bicycle planter came back here.

 This pot of faux succulents is a favorite.
 The little wire cloche on the wire stand seems to be a staple here: I just change what goes under the cloche! Love this set of bird finials I got last year.
 Another faux succulent in a pottery basket planter. This piece is one of the first pieces of pottery that I bought over 30 years ago!!! I added 2 small antler sheds.

 I also refreshed the 2 plant stands in here.
 A basket on it's side with faux greenery and a pottery pot with white flowers.

 A beautiful, bright, sunny day when I took these shots.

Wishing you a beautiful day. Thanks for your visit. Today is my daughters birthday. Happy, happy birthday, Tracy. I love you!!!!!

~~~A Pre Spring Table~~~
It all started with a new runner. I found this beautiful runner last week and knew I loved the colors and the design. AND, it was a huge bargain at $7.99! So I grabbed it quickly and started to plan a table. Spring is not quite here in this part of the country but you can tell it is TRYING to break through. We have very cold days and then one warm one to tease us. Well, enough chattering, let's look at the table. I am using these wicker based hurricanes because they go so well with this runner. And the green pillars are the perfect match too!
 Here is our stack right now. The green napkins are also the perfect green and I just placed them between 2 of the dishes. I have a round rattan charger and on that are my new GLASS chargers that I got the same day as the runner. I LOVE them, they will be so versatile! The salad plates are GORGEOUS and were on clearance at Kirklands! My green flatware completes the picture.
 The bubbles in the goblets and the bubbles on the pitcher that is holding some beautiful white tulips from Trader Joe's. The tulips were FREE since I had a gift card!!!
 AS you cabn see here there are several shades of green on the runner.
 I still love my bird votive holders. They always make an apperance in the Spring and Summer.
 The terrarium is still acting as the centerpiece but stay tuned, that is changing soon:) It is filled with moss on the bottom, a large white ceramic bird, a clay pot with a nest and another nest.
 Here's an angle I don't usually take and I don't know why. The door goes out to the deck. Can't WAIT til we will be sitting out there and I can also do tables out there!!!!! FINALLY:):) I also love seeing the table without a tablecloth cause it is so pretty.
 AHHH......
 I decided to try this too for some added texture. Different textures always make a table so much more interesting, and pretty in my opinion:) This is just a simple twig ball resting on a candle ring which is all on a pottery and iron stand.
 I decided to make a little nest of moss for this cute crackle bird.
 Here is the salad plate, I am in love. I now want the whole set of these dishes and DID find them online!!! I actually had cut out a picture from a magazine YEARS ago that featured these dishes and found that to make sure these were the same ones. YUP, they are!!!!
 The next day the sun finally came out for a short time so I got a few shots for you!
~~~A Winter White Tablesetting~~~

The other day when I redid the morning/breakfast room I decided I should set a new table for us too. I decided to do a "Winter White" table since we have 11 inches of snow outside! But in keeping with all the greens in the room added touches of green too. Hope you like it! I chose dishes that all had lots of texture and pattern. These are not a set, they all came from different places but I love them all together.
 A twiggy ball sits on a tiny green wreath
 on the side of the terrarium.
 I just realized that the pattern of the tablecloth has changed in the pictures! I have no idea how this happened!!!??? As you can see in the other pictures the tablecloth is a tiny striped pattern.
 A simple green goblet, made from recycled glass is for our beverages and the S and P add some more texture.
 Inside the terrarium I placed a pottery basket shaped pot with a faux succulent, a green lantern and a green sphere.
 They all rest on a bed of green moss.
 I changed out the red cushions that were used at Christmas for these green patterned ones.
 A nice thick napkin is folded simply.
 I love this crackled bird that I found at Kirklands recently. There are LOTS of birds at the feeders right outside the windows.
 I have had this pottery piece for MANY years and it remains a favorite.
 At first, I used my white handled flatware but then remembered this palm tree flatware and like it better!
 We eat alot of soups and chili in these COLD winter months so I placed the soup spoon across the bowl.
 My square rattan charger acts as a placemat and adds even more texture.

Thanks for your visit. I so appreciate all my sweet followers. XO, Pinky
