The York minster in one of the most impressive (by its height) cathedral I have ever seen. I stitched this photo with perspective corrections etc... using Hugin from two photos. It is impossible (at least for me), because of all the buildings around the minster, to get the full façade in one shot. York Minster is the second largest Gothic cathedral of Northern Europe and clearly charts the development of English Gothic architecture from Early English through to the Perpendicular Period. The present building was begun in about 1230 and completed in 1472.
