Biker Dies After Bird Hits Helmet (from This Is Local London)

A good reason why motorbiking and pheasant don't mix.
I finished a flower washcloth. It's so bright and happy :)

And you can see my chair recovering - before/after (it's obvious which one is new I hope!)

I have pulled another unsuspecting friend into knitting! She is taking home needles and yarn tonight to practice! You go girl!

I found that fabric liquidator store today - it's the size of a boutique, but the fabrics they sell are HIGH quality and gorgeous. I got the below fabric for my chairs. They will be updated from the flowery pattern they came with. Snaaaaaaaaaaaazy!

My grandma gave me this article a few months ago and I am finally going to visit Designer Fabric Liquidations today. My high school friend Jandellyn will accompany me an I hope to find the perfect fabric to recover my dining chairs with.

fun quote of the day!

"If you can't be a good example -- then you'll just have to be a
horrible warning."

I often browse the store Anthropologie not to buy, but for inspiration. I saw this lovely hat, which I may try to make for myself if I get a chance. Isn't it cute!

Last night a group of my friends took to X-Bowl a.k.a. Disco Bowling! It was really fun. I had the lowest score for my team and that was fine. I found it entertaining trying out new creative techniques to approach the toss of the ball. I also enjoyed drinking Vodka-cranberry - Thanks James!
A few knitting friends came along - two worlds collide! - in a good way.

I just got back from Vancouver BC today. We spent the night up there after visiting the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge. It was really fun. HORRID traffic though. On the highway, a logging truck lost it's load and ruined a few people's lives to boot. We only experienced the traffic resulting, but I can't imagine what the families were going though. So.... I didn't complain. I will now look wearly at Canadian Logging trucks though!

We got a good deal on Expedia.com for Lonsdale Quay Hotel. It was $77 for 2 queen beds. Right outside the hotel is the SeaBus that goes straight downtown. It was like we were back in London riding the Tube! But for a shorter distance AND on water. But it was fun to use the public transportation. Why doesn't Seattle get a clue???

I look forward to knitting with the Purlygirls on Monday! and the Eastside Stitchers on Wednesday. AND I promised myself I'd visit the gym on Tuesday - so I'm almost booked for next week.

Trip Hop is my kind of music.

My favourite group for a while is LAMB
Here is a photo of me learning how to change a setting on a relay on our Mobile Expo show. Now I have no fear of mashing the buttons to make the meter trip! That's what demo's are for right?

Knitting news:
I have made a RAINBOW scarf for my co-worker. It makes me smile when I look at it because it resembles what a clown would wear. I DO make to order though, and that's what she wanted.

Tonight fabulous Silvia from Milano, Itlay arrives! Amy and I have planned an amazing week. It will fly by and before we know it she'll be gone. I am excited to visit the Capilano Bridge in Vancouver on Thursday, I've been wanting to go walk across it for years. I am also excited about seeing the sneak preview of the new Bridget Jones movie. It's good know know people who know people! Wink-Wink. ;)

Just Say NO to Bush's Agenda: In Bush's second term, we may see
multiple U.S. Supreme Court retirements, possibly later this
year. The replacement of one or two justices could tip the
balance of the court against Roe v. Wade and affect the future
of other social issues.

Planned Parenthood

If you are at all concerned about the rights of women for the next 4 years of Bush's term, please take a stand.
