Well, over the last few months I’ve been delving into the book 'Art of Wax' by @elsatierney. Art of Wax covers a wide range of wax carving and sculpting techniques and blurs the boundaries between wax sculpting for jewellery and art.

With chapters on wax carving fine detail in hard wax to a chapter on the infamous Japanese wax technique called Mitsuro Hikime.

It talks about the differences between hard and soft waxes and what they are good for. Advises on essential tools for each technique and the Alchemy chapter encourages experimentation, with painting, dripping, dipping and how to recycle your scrap wax dust.
