If you’ve been following for a while, you know that every Spring I order mason bees from @crown_bees for my little backyard orchard.

I love mason bees for my backyard for a few reasons:
🌸 they’re super pollinators: 1 mason bee can do the pollinating work of 100 honey bees
🌸 they don’t travel far, staying within a 300 yard radius, so they’ll work within a backyard garden
🌸 they are gentle, rarely sting, and I find that they love to people watch!
🌸 they don’t produce honey, so there’s no work involved, just place them in their home and watch them do their work
🌸 they’re solitary bees that are native to North America (local ladies!)

What do you think? Will you get mason bees? 👩🏼‍🌾🐝
