This is the behavior chart that I created with a Grade 2 ESL student in mind. The student is bright and quick academically but struggles to maintain focus and keep his hands to himself.

Behavior charts that include goals, a rubric, and help facilitate student and parent involvement will work wonders in your classroom.

This is a self-monitoring tool that a student would use with the teacher to check-in and reflect how they are doing at each point in the day. For example, a student may be working on respecting peers and using kind words. During each section of the day, the teacher will visit privately with the student and the student will color either great (smiley) okay (middle) or needs work (frown).

This chart was created for students who may need a daily behavior check-in at the end of the day. I have used this chart when behavior needed to be tracked and communicated to parents daily. I would meet with the student at the end of the day and we would discuss how we did that the day and circle the corresponding face.The digital product is in the form of a Word Document so the chart is easily editable.
